I have 1/2 cup of infused butter the recipe I want to make calls for 1 cup of butter Do I go buy another 1/2 cup of infused butter, or just add 1/2 cup of normal butter.. This is a tough call for me...
im leaning to the "buy more" side, but i can say you should have a trip of your lifetime at least once in your lifetime
boy, this is a dilly of a pickle. wait, you're not using pickles in this recipe, are you? cause that'd REALLY make this a tough call... maybe use regular butter to bring it up to full level, but then eat twice as much. what are you makin btw? seriously, i would just get more herb-butter if it's readily available to you. otherwise you'd be OK just using regular butter to supplement.
Lemon pound cake recipe that I found on the side of a box of C&H sugar.. I'm still being lazy about it, i should have done it last weekend but well.. smoking is so much easier than dealing with the whole kitchen thing.. so, it never got started. This weekend looks promising. Maybe during the week after work if I get inspired to bake.. unlikely. the butter is kinda expensive at $20 per 1/2 cup at my local dispensary. 40$ + the rest of the ingredients for a damn pound cake? It just sounds ridiculous, ya know? spending that much.. but the results should be worth it. the same amount of the butter from the same source produced oatmeal cookies strong enough to keep me high all day.. double that in a pound cake?! well, I've heard overdosing on MJ is difficult, but I'm not going to let that stop me from trying Hopefully, after this next weekend I can update this with some kind of trip report.. if I don't get another bout of laziness
use regular butter for the other half cup. most dispensary stuff is pretty potent, it should be fine. im sure not gonna spend $40 on poundcake so potent i can only eat 1-2 bites at a time, you know? id have to have a second unadulterated poundcake on hand! my poundcake recipe has cream cheese in it. yum.
