Condoms for my boyfriend - help!

hi.

I started dating this nice guy and recently we started 'enjoying' each other. Everything has been ok other than the fact that he really hates condoms. he has always been with girls who used the pill (no std's there - he got tested recently just in case) and so is not used to them. He says that they are too tight and uncomfortable and hard to put on. And to be honest, comparing to the others - it does look too tight. He is 6.5" by 6", making him thicker than my previous b/fs, but surely no too thick for a condom - those things really stretch!

I am very relunctant to try the pill and the need for condoms is putting a downer on our relationship, although the sex is still good, though it could be a lot better and i feel that from him.

So do you guys ever had this problem? do u have any suggestions? what about you girls? is it just in his head or can condoms be too small?

just remind him that putting ona condom once is easier the changing 5000 diapers and missing much much sleep

 

i agree with applespark... it is better then having a kid... although your bf's story might be true... see there is a wider condom... if they exist... i dont know if they do though.... other then that the pill isnt 100% accurate.... my suggestion is going on it anyway but still make him use a condom... just in case the condom breaks you got that extra protection to back it up

I could do that, which is true, but i think he would rather go with another girl!! We have only been going out for a month and hes real nice so i want this to work.

well like i said i have seen him putting it on and it does look very tight and a bit distorted.

How does is usually end? well after a couple of condoms we have sex and its really nice but he finds it hard to stay hard for long; he feels like the blood is being drained out of him. i know that this is not usually a problem for him since during oral and hand jobs he can maintain it hard for a long time, even when we are just kissing. I also know his previous girl, and knowing how loud she is, im guessing that if he had any problems there she would have broadcasted it to the world, the bitch.

 

i hate condoms. i had the same problem as you, so i just went on the pill. believe me you don't wanna take any chances and go without a condom...cuz i've done that a lot and thought i was pregnant. but i wasn't, i got really lucky

 

I was suggesting that maybe he just doesn't like to use condoms and says that they are tight just to avoid them. Have you ever had sex without one?

 

Condoms are supposed to be a little tight. What would happen if they were just barely hanging on? A lot of sperm leakage and unhappy parents, I suppose!! May I ask why you are opposed to the pill? They have a lot of health benefits and depending on how often you have sex, it could be cheaper than comdoms in the long run! If you do decide to get on the pill , make sure the first couple of weeks you use an extra protection method such as foam, film, or spermacide lube.

If you choose not to however, always use a condom. And if he complains about it, I agree with the previous posts, let him know that a baby will be a hell of a lot more uncomfortable than a condom.

They make large condoms for guys but I believe your man's size falls under regular condoms. You could get a pack of large ones, and if they don't fit, you can always just laugh and point.

 

I would just tell him if he doesnt wear his jimmy hat, then he gets no ass.. Dont let him make you feel bad cause you are smart..

 

I like the Trojan Magnums in the gold foil wrapper. They come in a black box with gold writing. How could he complain if you buy the LARGE ones? Those are big enough for a guy blessed with a large tweeter.

Condoms are great, because the dude ultimately lasts longer, making it more pleasurable for the female. Yeah, the rubber is kinda awkward feeling, but you'll get over it.

I suggest that you get on the pill. You can get a year's prescription for free at Planned Parenthood if you fall in a certain bracket, and if you're young, chances are, you will. Just don't think that if you're on the pill that you are immune to STDs. Sorry to be preachin'!

 

He doesn't make me feel bad, believe me, he is real nice. And he has put no pressure on me, but he is often turned on and yet puts intercourse of and gives me oral instead. We have had sex with a condom once, which was real bad i lnow, but it was the day following my period and according to my biology that is pretty safe. But we were real happy after that so i want it again, only with a condom!

I was relunctant to use the pill cause i tend to be a bit forgetful (!!!!) and my sis took it and she didnt react too well and she didnt like too great. But you guys are right, something needs to change.

haha... my last boyfriend wore Magnums. It made him proud and kept us safe at the same time. They come in a gold wrapper... he loved it.

I miss him.

 

Was he big by any chance? Did he find the standard sizes too restricting (assuming that these magmums are the big ones)

 

I really don't know the benefits of the pill. Actualy it wsa just a big pain in the ass for me. The first few years on it was great skin clear periods normal but after that it went crazy~whack. And it totaly not cheeper then condoms but it is more efective then a condom ..condoms break and slip off etc....Seriously if you don't want to have a child I suggest he sucks it up. There are thinner condoms too. Try some different ones...ribbed or wahtever you want but the pullout method does not always work...how dumb are you gonna feel when you gotta ask him what his thoughts are on being a daddy cuz well you got yourself preggo with him and he'll tell you bu~bye

 

Also there are films that you can use in yourself and sponges and spermicides

tell him to buy larger size condoms, they do sell them. Perhaps you should buy a pack first and ask him to at least try them out.

The magnums said here, i have never seen in my chemists. maybe they have them in bigger stores. hope it works.

Also someone said that they are supposed to be tight. But hes a little bit over 2" wide. the condoms were made to fit most people, including those that are 1.5" wide. So as he says they may be unnaturally tight.

By the way Apple, the things you went through because of the pill is similar to what happened to my sister. Thats why im relunctant to take it, though i may change my mind and go for it.
