Does anyone have a blog? If so, post a link to it here and let others from the community follow your scribblings. Then I'll add it to the list below. Hopefully, alongside the Karma Kafe, this will help everyone to get to know one another better and pull us together as a community. Blog list: Peace Phoenix: http://www.socialistunity.blogspot.com/ Mary Poppins: http://blog.myspace.com/offthefence John: www.tutvdarkside.blogspot.com Trombonebleu: www.myspace.com/trombonebleu Fountains of Nay: http://naynee.livejournal.com/ Pinkmoon: http://london.cafebabel.com Nynysuts: http://nyikaspath.wordpress.com/ Lithium: http://albertofrog.wordpress.com/ Joshua Tree: http://nightwires.blogspot.com/
This isn't solely my blog, but I'm one of eight contributors to it. It's political, not personal, but as the feminists say, the personal is the political.... http://www.socialistunity.blogspot.com/
Generally people posting links to their blogs is considered spam under the guidelines, but I'm making an exception here. Rather than have multiple threads that may spam across many forums, this will be one thread and will collect them all together. Users have, in the past, been allowed one post about their myspace accounts (but no more) and in the same sense I see no harm in making one post to link to blogs. It avoids clutter. Moreover, this is not about advertising other sites, this is about helping people get to know each other better. It's a community building exercise....
Also, I'm a bleeding heart pinko liberal. I run this place a bit differently to other forums, and you may notice it has a much more chilled atmosphere....
PeacePhoenix, actually this forum is the first place I have ever been on that told me to take the link to my blog off my signature when I first joined. No hard feelings about it, but that's not so very liberal/pinko now is it?? Anyway, I love my blog and believe whoever reads it will come away refreshed and entertained. Here's the Link - it's called Off The Fence, which I believe is an accurate representation of my personality and views..: http://blog.myspace.com/offthefence Nothing heavy or political, just plain entertainment and hopefully something to think about/learn
Blogs in signatures are a different matter under the guidelines as they will appear with every post. This is just one post. But I should also point out, to defend my pinko credentials, that I never asked you to remove any link.
No, it wasn't you. It just makes more sense to me to have the link in the signature because things change so fast on this forum that this thread will be under water in no time flat, never to be seen again. Anyhow, I am not in charge.. Thanks for giving me a place to put my link!
It won't be under the water, it's a sticky thread That, I hope, is some kind of compromise between sticking to the guidelines and giving members a chance to have their say....
Glad to be of service Why not make yourself a thread in the Karma Kafe too, so we can get to know you better and ask you lots of meaningful questions....
What should the thread be about? Will pop over to have a look... I like being asked meaningful questions
It's just a thread where you introduce yourself. Say as much or as little as you like about yourself. Then people ask you questions that you can answer. It's always been good for building the community, and has set the UK Forum apart from other forums here. And you're practically an honourary UK Forum member now
Yes. For awile I was Visionofthefuture on youtube but reregistered as Voyagevisage. So thought I would use my youtube name rather than my real name. Sort of like a sudinim.
I have one at www.livejournal.com/users/naynee, but I haven't written in it for about a year. Also got on at www.myspace.com/nayhem
and one more at http://www.necroticobsession.com/bb/weblog.php?w=265 this one's the prettiest looking, but hardly ever updated!
