So I am pretty much fed up with the mainstream world. Its far too complicated and rooted in human fantasy. Does anyone know of rainbow communes in the midwest? I am interested in researching, getting to know, and perhaps becoming a part of one to simplify my life, find a mate most suitable for me, focus on my spiritual practice, and raise a family in a way I believe would benefit them most.
starting in may, the frist, there are a few family having a midwest reg. you might want to check in there. its in iowa and theres a post about it here somewhere. peace and good travels
hello from Decorah , io-wah! the midwest gathering goes the whole month of may , for sharing and connection . there are a few mid-west communes established in missouri . of what i see and hear of , strangely , children and babies aren't encouraged to join communes in america . i hope i am mistaken .
If by "Rainbow" you mean communities based on the anarchist pattern of Rainbow Gatherings, all attempts at that in the past have failed. No intentional communities have succeeded without some kind of structure and rules. However, many that have succeeded offer structures that are not like mainstream society. If you want to check out intentional communities online, I recommend www.ic.org.
