Coming down off Lortabs

I've had lortabs about 4-5 times. i take 3 everytime and when i come down my eyes get super blood shot and i get really sleepy but can't fall asleep does anyone know why or how i can avoid the affect of being sleepy and my appitiet is gone.

 

first of all lortab is nothing but HYDROCODONE (right?) and if for some reason you gotten youself addicted to that weak shit, just wean off, or stop straight up, ain't taht strong that yuou gonna puke or antything, soz i durnk

 

is it wierd that i get munchies when i take opiates?

Hydrocodone and APAP aka Acetaminophen. Lortabs without APAP are only available for dogs in pain because APAP is poisonous to animals.

 

god.. the world would be so much easier if i was allergic to APAP... just think of the other shit they would possibly give you.. oh.. sorry.. can't give you hydrocodone.. here have these OxyContin..

 

It's also used for "kennel cough" for dogs.
Rather easy to get from a vet, 5 mg tablets, pure hydrocodone.
(of course you need to own a dog)

 

Sniff some meth when you comedown,t hen you won't be sleepy or fatigued. Then, when you come off the meth, do moar Lori's.

 

nah, shoot heroin to get down off of meth, then shoot meth to come up from heroin. its an ongoing cycle of expense.

Anyways, to the original poster:

You don't really "come down" off of opiates.

Loss of appetite is a common side effect of most opiates, not just Lortab (Hydrocodone)

Also, opiates give some people energy, which makes it hard for some to fall asleep...this happens to me as well. These are all common side effects of the medication, nothing to worry about, and nothing you can really help.

Maybe some Benadryl after taking the opiates, to help with getting to sleep. As far as the appetite, just eat before you take them. If you are worried about losing some of the pill from taking them on a full stomach, just eat like 4 or 5 hours beforehand. A lot of opiates tend to work better when taken on a full stomach of fatty foods, so keep that in mind as well.

that works wonders for me, but not my lil brother. He cant sleep at all after smoking, I quite yet dont understand those opposite effects some people get. Like u4ia, energy from opiates, wtf? thats like getting sleepy from cocaine or meth...

Yeah, Oxycodone gives me a nice boost of energy....nothing like the intense burst of energy from an upper like cocaine or meth, but it just uplifts my mood, which in turn uplifts my energy. My GF cleans non-stop on opiates, because she can't sit down.

 

I've ben taking xanax and ativan to sleep but i dont think thats not a great idea and is there anything that makes the high last longer other than taking more or spacing dosing out

 

Valium is a longer lasting benzo.
