I will be arriving in Amsterdam at around 7am. Of course the first thing I want to do is go smoke! Does anybody know which shops im likely to find open at that time if any?

    none.

I believe they are regulated to open at certain times (10am or 11?) I don't believe (of course I could be wrong) that any are open that early.

Central CS is opened at 7am. Located right by the centraal station/left side across the bridge. I remember a lot of Coffee shops opening at 8 or 9am and according to the nemesis map this is true.

Picasso opens at about 8am i believe. Barneys is opens at 7am and they are both on the same street....Haarlemerstraat.

As already stated, Central is open at that time as well.
So is Double Reggae but i wouldn't go there.

use this link to a map of amsterdam.....
click on "coffeeshops" and they will appear on the map
scroll your mouse over each coffeeshop to get a review / hours / etc

Thanks for the map link. I have seen several and this one is GREAT for who has what where and when.. The restaurant part is a nice bonus! Last time I went pre-trip I planned and planned for the weed smoking part, and totally forgot about where I might like to eat! (Stoner move I know, but where better to pull one?) Oh yeah, one other thing that might not be a bad idea, and I am doing this - Bring some of your own baggies, your favorite papers, and a grinder, and a thin tip permanent marker.

We are going to have our bags with us and central sounds like they might have the room to keep them while we wait for it to get late enough to take our bags to the hotel. I wanted to go to Barneys, but it sounds like its real popular, and probably not alot of space for luggage.

oh yeah just to add to the list apparently the Coin is open early as well. This is very promising that so many shops open early.

central station has large luggage lockers that are relatively cheap. you could just put your bags in the lockers for a few hours....
