I just got a vapor brothers last week and that thing kicks ass, we burned a few bowls (literally burned them instead of vaped them on accident) which put some tar in the glass and in the plastic tube. i got the shit off of the glass and a good amount out of the tube, but there is still some resin, has anybody cleaned their whip and gotten this shit out? if i cant get it out ill just buy a new tube from the hardware store.

this thing kicks ass btw. we got a good grip on only vaping it and not producing smoke. we can smoke lows and mids and get very high, or you can smoke dank and get very very high. i find its definitely CLEANER if anything, i dont know how much more it actually gets you stoned, but it feels refreshing on my lungs instead of heavy and crackling.

should have mentioned that i have already tried this. i was apprehensive at first and that apprehension was justified as it seemed to fog up the whip with a residue, i got that out and its still got the tar in it :(

The only time I ever cleaned my whip, I boiled it in water. It got everything out really good, but the heat made the plastic tube turn into a soggy noodle for a day. It returned to normal though, and I haven't had to clean it since.

i would say just buy a new whip... they're very cheap in most places (<$5).

The ones I see are at least 20. You gotta make sure to get good whip. You don't want to get flakes of shake in your mouth, and you don't definately don't want a strange metallic taste from some sketchy ass screen. A big bowl is always nice, too. I would be wary of a 5 dollar whip, and it seems pretty unneccesary to buy a new whip instead of just cleaning it.

Heating the plastic tube sounds sketchy.
I'd try another method before that one ...

I've had a vapor bros for a few years now, about 3 1/2 ...and instead of cleaning it i just smoked it...because over the years the stuff that collected was like hash oil. it was so great to smoke it, i connected it to a bong and got really baked with my friends.

i'd say try soaking it in 99% isopropyl alcohol, or hot water, ....
i'm paranoid about plastic and burning so i'd be wary of how hot the water is, that's why i think alcohol would be good. and i heard salt with that works well, too .

yeah, i´d say use something that´s at least 90% alcohol. that´s what´s recommended for cleaning the valve and parts of the Volcano vaporizer. Everclear is 95%, i think. that´s what i´ve used and it works like a charm. same with any kind of piece.

a buddy of mine used acetone to clean out a pipe recently and accidentally spilled some on something plastic, which melts when in contact with it. works well to clean glass.... not so much for plastic.
