Since we have a more melodic crowd at HIPforums, I present to you an awesome band from Norway called "Circus Maximus". After tackling some pretty tough covers of Symphony X, Dream Theatre and the like, they decided to venture out on their own in 2005 upon creating their first album pasterpiece, entitled "The First Chapter". Now, planning a release date for their second coming, which they entitled "Isolate", things are looking (and sounding) pretty amazing for Circus Maximus. Oh, and thanks to getting a leaked copy of the new one, it's amazing. If you like what you hear, I'd be glad to send you it Anyway, give them a try because they're probably the greatest prog metal band out there today... and most new prog metal bands suck. i agree they rock but theyre a little slow for my taste. i really like the harmonys and song structure though.
