I am SO sick of people telling me it's a necessaty!!!
People keep telling me "It's so much cleaner". BULLSHIT! It isn't either. My own FATHER isn't circumcised and him and his 7 brothers ahve NEVER had problems! My mom keeps saying if I don't it will make Noah dirty and smelly. I hate people telling me this false crap!!

Woo! Go for you, don't let anyone tell you that it's needed, it's not. My fiancee isn't cut and I perfer that. As long as your taught proper washing growing up it's not needed.

mutilation of the genitals(sp?) deffinatly isnt necessary..prehaps you could find some evidence based infomation showing the emotional and physical damage it can do to babies? info thats proves it to be more harmful then helpful...(theres lots out there) then show these people? :)

I guess It'd be "cleaner" for girls too if we cut off our labia when born. No ,we were taught proper hygiene, I'm sure boys could learn the same ,right?.. Good luck mama

I am circumcising my son if I have one. Only because I don't want my son asking why he is different then his daddy.

It's all about preference, no one choice is cleaner.

I would never circumcise. NO WAY! My dad, brother, husband and son are au-natural and that's the way it should be!

Welcome to parenthood. Everyone has their opinions and will try to force them on you. I think it gets worse after the kid is born, especially by family. So stay firm in your beliefs, tell them to quiet down, and remember you are the baby's mother!

so true when you have the baby, everyone will be yap yap yapping in your ear-do this do that. YOU as a mother will know whats best for YOUR child so you have to learn to block out some invasive voices and learn to trust your instincts. Just smile and nod, I mean some people will give you realli helpful advice but then others just give you complete crap! listen but follow your heart :)

Circumcision is very rare here in the UK. When I first saw a circumcised penis I was like "what on Earth is wrong with him!?" It was a shock. It seems like over in America it has become more "normal". For me, doing that to a baby boy is far from normal. Why on Earth youd want to cut a perfectly healthy baby is beyond me

Theres no reason, I suppose other than religion or cosmetic preference, or even to fit in!

Good for you for standing by what you believe, hes your son and they can all keep their noses out of your private decisions!

    America is changing though, thankfully.

Circumcision is becoming more rare here, as well.

Sweden has it figured out though; it is a crime to circumcise there. It should be illegal everywhere really, or at least it should be spoken of truthfully as child abuse or sexual abuse.

Though I'm not completely against it, I don't understand why people make it seem like not cutting flesh of a child is cruel. It may be cleaner in some ways, but in a society where it's easy to be clean, it's not necessary. I don't think I'd circumcise my kid if I had a son.

I see circumcision as tantamount to cutting off a young girls breasts because she might get breast cancer one day.

Well if I had a boy then I'd get him circumcised because we're Jewish, but it should be a choice that is respected.

see, thats understandable. I just don't like people making it seem like the kid will die if he isn't, you know.
