Chuck Palahniuk

Anyone Chuck fans here? I'm currently reading Lullaby for the second time and have read every other book he's written, except for Snuff because I'm currently broke.

The man is a damn genius in my eyes. Anyone else?

 

I totally agree, I think he's one of the best authors in the world. But sadly I've only read Diary, Fight Club, Lullaby and I'm currently reading Choke. (Which is the best at the time) I'm just kinda all the time broke, that's why I haven't read more of his books. Next book I'll read is Haunted, which I already have, and the next books I'll buy will probably be Snuff and Survivor.

 

Aw I loved Choke, can't wait for the movie, if they did what they did with Fight Club it should be great.

oh hell ya... choke was great.. the movie looks hilarious!

rant was preatty loopy, but it all comes together. i cant think of a single plot-hole to destroy the world Chuck made.

 

invisible monsters was good but it was nothing compared to lullaby

 

Anyone read Snuff yet? I'm really curious but I have too many text books to read at the moment.

 

I liked his stuff but after 3 or so of his novels I feel like his style gets repetitious. He doesn't really change much. It's good, but I like to see a difference, or a growth with authors.. unless they're absolute geniuses, which he isnt.

 

I wholeheartedly agree.

 

I've only read excerpts from all his books mainly because of a lack of funds to buy his books (My money disappears before I can get to a book store), but from what I've read he is amazing.

And Fight Club the movie was absolutely amazing, and I expect even more from the book.

 

I kind of agree but its pretty much his continuous style that brings me back. His style is unique and he finds a way to execute it differently in every novel.

i wish they would make a movie so i could compare those too

rant was epic though i don't see how they could ever make a movie of it.

 

i just finished up choke, and i just started fight club. its not as good though in my opinion- maybe cuz i already saw the movie.

 

choke movie was purdy good but i'm still all about rant casey.

 

With you there. I couldn't get enough of that book when I was reading it

 

survivor was by far his best book. i've read all of them. haunted was my least favorite. survivor was amazing though. i had to keep a notebook next to me to write down my favorite quotes... which was basically half the book. oh, and rant was good too. fight club, also.
