Very interesting. I was 15 years old when JFK was killed. I've probably heard a hundred different theories, but the one that has always remained the most memorable was the first I heard, that the Mafia killed JFK and paid Jack Ruby, who was dying from cancer, to kill Oswald.

The Georgia connections, My speculation would be J.B. Stoner as one, and possibly Lester Maddox. Old JB was involved in a lot of violence back then, including bombing black churches.

Politics is the source of all contention. It's the thrill of raw meat being toasted in a public forum that gives an adrenalin rush more addictive than heroin.. Run, run far away least you become one of it's victims.

Then I would contend that there is far more politics in organized religion then anyone is willing to admit. Because throughout history organized religion has been behind most of the conflicts in mankind's history and civilization. I am thinking on an even more basic level money and power is the root of it all. Since money drives both politics and organized religion.

Don't forget, the Conquistadors had the full blessings of the Pope and took priests with them to establish Catholicism as a form of native control, The Inquisitions were a joint venture of Church and government and the Christian principal of Manifest Destiny was the driving force behind the invasion of this land and the slaughter of Native Americans.

While America espouses religious freedom, only one non-Christian has ever been elected to the presidency, Thomas Jefferson. One could say that American government continues to exist as an extension of Christianity since only Christians need apply.

So, I would say you are correct.
