I dunno, though he was an interesting guy but it seems strange he could very well be alive had he not been killed 40 years ago. To me, he's more of an image like Mao or Ho Chi Minh since I don't know much about any of them.

Ernesto Che Guevara did great things, great events, but terrible things too. His ideas were good, but his method was bad. Revolution was a good idea, he fighted for a good cause, but it was not necessary to kill all these people !
I think there are 2 Che Guevara : a nice student, the symbol of communism and revolution / and a mad guerillero who killed people.
Despite his crimes, I like the Che, because he is the symbol of the revolution against the capitalism. I just keep thinking of this symbol, and I don't care what he has done. I agree with communism, I hate the war.
So "hasta la victoria siempre comandante Che Guevara" but "make love not war" !

Very interesting, he was kind of a split soul in his life and plight it seems. I think he was a convenient scapegoat for anti-communists who wanted to demonize the ideology, but I have heard much more about the bad than the good with Che. I'd like to know more though.

I can't explane you the Che's life but you should search on google, it's very interesting ! Why this topic is in "UK" ? Che Guevara lived in South America and the revolution was in Cuba.
    That's all !

I think wearing a T-shirt with a murderer's face on it exhibits a shallow love of Red-Hippy fashion. If you actually believed in what he did you'd be helping Iranians smuggle arms into Iraq and not wearing a pathetic little t-shirt.
In revolution it's all or nothing. Otherwise you're a hypocrite.

Him and Elvis Presley were good friends and they went to see Andy Warhol who did some portraits of them together.

I agree with "In revolution it's all or nothing. Otherwise you're a hypocrite."
But I don't agree with the other part. Wearing a t-shirt can be a symbol of the revolution. You can't do the revolution alone ! I think people who wears a t-shirt with Che's face doesn't want helping Iranians ; they just agree with communism revolution, they don't agree with crimes !
I don't wear it, but I think it's not pathetic.

I think cheguevarra did communism no good by dying and if he had lived would have achieved the noble obscurity that communism likes its citizens to have. Pity really he would have hated his face on all that bourgeois shit like overly priced expensive tee shirts that were made by exploiting the slave labour in 3rd world countries. All Che's face is now is some clothes salesmans dream !

I would get a teeshirt with a picture of a some anarchists throwing grenades at the whitehouse thats far more revolutionary and will probably get you a lot of kudos at parties

I can think loads of revolutionary pictures - a load of politicians strung up outside the whitehouse etc. with the slogan "we're getting there" written underneath

A picture of whoever is the current prime minister with head spiked on the railings outside parliament and the slogan "coming soon"
