athletically speaking soccer players are a million times better athletes than basketball players
could a basketball player run around a giant field for 2 hours?

2 different sports, don't try to compare apple vs oranges - especially at an elite level of athletics

Did you hear that Laker head coach Phil Jackson told Matt Damon (Celtics fan and actor) to shut the fuck up Sunday night in Los Angeles when he was cheering too loud

not a big soccer fan either, but it's infinitely better than basketball. i'm also not sure, but i don't think the soccer playoffs last for an entire year after the regular season is finally over

Yeah, KG and Ray surely do deserve it.

Damn you Danny Ainge! Damn you!

Good job Celtics though, Lakers never had a chance... it's as if they were just playing around with them in game 5 just so that they could destroy them at home.

Who knows, maybe the Lakers will assemble a super team for next year and kick some ass. Apparently any team in the league is just a trade or two away from a championship.

Major props to Rondo though... he got game.

man, everyone on the Celts came to play. Tony Allen with the reverse alley-oop - Amazing!

Big Baby driving from center court and slamming it down. yea, who is going to get in his way? haha

Ray just raining down threes. Garnett taking over the middle. Posey playing hard and hitting 3s, along with House. the rest of the bench - awesome. man, it was just a great game

yea, a lot of teams are just a big trade away. should be an interesting offseason

basketball/baseball/football are America's sport, attention divided bewteen three sports

soccer is the worlds (minus usa) sport.

Soccer is a hell of a lot more popular. Though other sports, baseball (Japan), basketball, etc are growing in popularity.

It was just crushing. I loved it.

Thanks for avenging my Spurs Boston. You guys deserved it.

40 points? I was just sitting there watching LA and they just looked amateur by the fourth quarter.

    Yeah, some pretty plays.

Too bad that the Lakers gave up on the game after the first quarter. Simply gave up. Kobe kinda stopped trying by the end of the half.

I'm still a firm believer in building a team instead of buying one.

You fail to realize how global basketball is. It's the #2 sport in most of Europe after football.

I'm just glad they won because I just bought the Ray A. Jordan's. I would've had to listen to massive guff from a lot of people had they blown it.

Atleast one New England team won it all this year. Stupid ass Patriots lost the big show to the Giants of all crappy teams to lose to. You guys needed this, I'm sure.
