    Hi Little Flower,

D.J. Conway, Silver Raven-Wolf and Scott Cunningham have great books that start with basic Wicca training.

    Love and Blessings,

also most people who tell you they practice Wicca do practice some form of Celtic Paganism... mostly because the Wicca and Neo-Paganism of today base a good deal of their religion off of the old one. I'll say more later on, but now my head needs a rest.

    Thank you GotSmacked.

I have been quoting that article for a few years and lost it. People who tack the label "celtic" on everything really piss us Celts off... If you want to be a witch tht's fine. Be a witch. If you want to learn about honor, leave the "An' it harm none..." at home, pick up a sword and let's go define ourselves.

No prob! There are quite a few sites on this subject, But this one seem to sum it all up. I will admit I hate when people tack the word Celtic an anything. Sorry to say Wicca is a New Age religion. If you study the Celts or the Druids you will see it's very different then the Watered down Wicca.
BTW some of the books that were metioned Like Silver Ravenwolf and DJ Conway. They basically pulled there theories out of their Arses!

I love the Celtic dieties - I don't know why, but I was always more drawn to Celtic mysticism than any other. (Is it coincidence that I ended up marrying an Irish guy?) :) Have fun learning about Celtic Wicca, hope it's rewarding for you!

I've always had that connection with the dieties too (or at least a draw to them) and would love to marry an Irishman (for accent alone).

Awesome article GotSmacked, have bookmarked for future reference. Thanks for sharing :)
LOL totally agree about Ravenwolf and Conway.

    Hell yeah! :)
Have tried to do all that lame super nice wicca stuff, but nah. That's just not going to cut it.

To be honest I'm not sure exactly how 'Celtic' my ancestry is. Welsh on one side, and Scottish on the other for sure, but who can tell.
Even so I've a real connection with the umm how to phrase it, culture?, of the Celts.

Shall definetly have to do some more research (do you ever quit learning?). Any further reading we should know about? :)

    celtic wicca *giggles*

    what a joke.

If you wanna know a bit on Celtic religion, ive written some on it in my journal, with the Gaulish origin myths, counter-compaired to Germanic lore. Comparing Bael to Hemdal, and the animistic origins of the god.

Check it out if ya wanna.
