Yesterday I had to go to a hospital, my phone battery was DEAD.. I turned it off 4 hours later when I got out of the hospital I turned my phone back on and it was fully charged..... weird...anyone know why? Was it the electromagnetic machines? Very unusual I thought...

Are you sure that the BATTERY was dead (as in nothing lit up at all on the display), or did the phone just not get a signal?

Many hospitals install cellphone "signal jammers" to keep people from using cellphones, which could possibly interfere with sensitive medical equipment.

It was a red battery low signal- 0 bars for battery power.. when i came back out hoping to make at least a short call- I had 3 bars of battery power. Yes and thats why i turned the phone off as to not interfere with equipment

sometimes the battery sensor just gets it wrong, mine does from time to time probably indicates an obscure bug in the phones OS. There are more elaborate explanations but 99.9% thats it i think every mobile ive ever owned has lied about its battery life at some point.
