    I just put gas in my car by myself for the first time. And I didn't explode anything, catch anything on fire, injure myself, get gasoline everywhere, or even fuck up once. I'm proud. One step for us womenz!

    Just remeber to stand to the side when you do it; the fumes from the fuel are very very bad.

    I read a few years ago that women cause the most gas station fires by putting the handle on automatic,sitting back down in their car and then sliding out causing static electricity==boom!Be carefull.

    I didn't get back in my car. I'm learning how to take care of my car from a strict mechanically inclined male. I get my ass chewed daily about the care and keeping of it. He's about to ream me a new one when he finds out I got the window off track again (the electric windows suuuuck) and he's going to have to help me fix it. :eek:

    Also, I almost forgot, the gas cap is on the passenger's side, so I'd have to walk allll the way around the car to sit in it and then get out again. I even touched metal before I touched the nozzle to discharge any static I might've had on me.

    I never heard of this, static electricity causing explosions...

    I've only gassed my car twice.

    It's against the law to pump your own gas here.I like it--just sit my ass in the car and let someone else work in the rain.

    Thats funny...here in California it is all self serve and you have to pre-pay brfore you can pump the gas..
