Carl Sagan Was A Stoner

So, who knew? I was not suprised but then again, I think everyone should smoke pot. To bad this came out after he died.

ha i read the same article earlier on gizmodo...everyone always said he was a stoner anyway haha i just got finished downloading the cosmos series but havent had a chance to watch it yet

i read a book he wrote titled "The Dragons of Eden" without discussing the book to much it's about the origin of intelligence in life and at one point he was writing about a "friend" he had, had that gained many positive experiences from "cannabis trips" it was published in the 70's probably before Sagan felt comfortable speaking about his opinions on marijuana.

It's a good read by that way...

Different times, indeed. And, hey, how about that genius biologist ex-wife of his, Lynn Margulis, of endosymbiotic theory fame, and Dorion Sagin's mom...did she toke up? Does she still? It's only a traffic ticket in Amherst.

 

That show "The Cosmos" is pretty fuckin' awesome IMO. I've seen it on the science channel. I love astronomy and physics. Utterly fascinating. So cool to find he smoked!

i love carl sagan's books. i found 'dragons of eden' when i was but a mere child in this world and 'billions and billions' helped me come to terms with my own pathetic humanity. i knew about his work as 'mr. x' but never got the chance to read it. carl sagan was a truly amazing individual. his theories refuting self replicating probes is brilliant shit.
