Either your ALT key is stuck (alt-d) is address, or you have someting funny going on, I've seen this problem on Windows2000 computers with certain keyabord drivers that make sue of the 'windows' keys
    reboot.

Yea, most likely its not a stuck alt key, they wouldnt have been able to type anything, at least not a physically stuck alt key, windows is flaky though, it sounds much more like a stuck windows key (physically or logically) that would only affect a few keys (unless they have more setup) by default windwos-d is show the desktop though, not go to address selection.

ive had worms before that disable certain keys, or whenever i pressed on one in particular it would force a word or internet address to be fielded in. try running a program like adaware or go to pcpitstop.com and do a quick scan. it may help
