I smoked weed for the first time a few weeks ago. Since then I've tried a few more times (until my supply ran out). I tried smoking it from a bong and from a joint and all I felt was a really light buzz kinda feeling at most. Am I possibly doing something wrong or did I just get crappy weed or what?

That's sort of what happened to me when I first started. Just make sure you're getting the smoke down into your lungs, hold it at least 8 seconds, and don't expect anything. It'll happen eventually, trust me.

Have you ever smoked anything before? Cigerettes or whatever? Cos if you're a newbie then you and your body won't be used to the idea of actually inhaling smoke. I find a good trick is to take a toke and then take a breath of normal air to really bring the smoke down into your lungs and then hold it and breath out.
Also, it's highly likely, if you inhale properly, that you feel a sort of burny feeling in the back of your throat where your tonsils and epiglottis are. This is harsher or smoother depending on the type of weed you smoke and how you smoke it...

Okay, if you think you cannot get stoned or have some kind of bizarre immunity to THC smoke, smoke until you can't smoke any more or feel as if you've smoked too much.
Make friends with your concience and eventually it will let you know when it's high!

This has happened to lots of people I know. Basically when you first start smoking weed, it takes time for the effects to come on (reverse tolerance) and usually when it hits you, you are so unused to being high, you dont even realize you are high.
Next time you smoke up, try something complicated like threading a needle, if you can do it in under 10 mins you aren't high.

same exact thing happend to me the first 3 or 4 times I smoked. then like the fifth time, I got high. Too high maybe, I had an intense panic attack, I was overwhelmed by the high. I didnt immagine it would have been so strong lol.

Most first-timers have the hardest time with learning how to inhale correctly. Like Taylor said, after inhaling the smoke, breathe in some regular air to force the smoke down deeper. Also, if its night, while you're holding it in, stare/concentrate at the moon. I don't know why, but that always helps me keep it down longer.:D I like to hold it in at least 10 seconds, but just try for as long as possible.

And yes, after you think you have toked enough, try doing something that involves complicated brainwork, or concentration. Hell, even listenting to/telling a story sometimes is sufficiant enough.

Also, if the only weed you smoked was from one batch, it could be that the weed itself was weak. Unlikely, but still possible.

You'll be blazed before you know it!
