Ask any Mexican hipster you see. Prepare to pay way too much for shitty ganj with the strong possibility of getting ripped-off. It will still be pretty damn cheap though. Never give them the money before you see the product, and never follow them to a house or anything.
i live really close to mexico, i used to goto rocky point alot to party, and the best way ive found to get any drug in mexico is to ask a cab driver, most of the time they'll go to a house and go inside and get it for you...i know coke down there is half the price it is in my town and its better...and my town has some of the cheapest prices for good coke in the US.
2 different friends of mine who recently went down found weed through the Vendors on the beach, they just had it on them and bought it from them
yeah, you can score on the beach but its a little harder and shittier...im telling you from like 25 trips to mexico as experience that your best way is through a cab driver...
in my experiance cab drivers are the ones who will always rip you off the hardest, and when you are in their cab looking for weed, it would seem your at their mercy, sounds pretty fuckin sketch if u ask me.
I didn't smoke much weed at the time, but when I went there, an older dude said the pot the guy sold on the beech was decent outdoor pot, but it wasn't really high quality or anything. It was also $5 a gram with pretty good deals, you could barter him down pretty low. He alsogave you a couple free grams sometimes... That was cool..
i would recommend from my experience in the Quintana Roo area that your best bet would be to talk to the people that are selling pipes and shit on the street. They usually will hustle weed and straight up ask you if you need any thing to smoke. Its not going to be the best mids around, most likely some shwag, but dont let them charge more than 50 a oz if that. I lived a litle bit south and 50 was pretty standard for some nice shit, like some mids but with like foot long colas. Back before christmas, there was alot of hashish going around as well for about 6-8 dollars a gram, but idk about now. also cigars for rolling blunts in mexico are scarce and a box of swisher cigarellos will cost 12-15 dollars for 5, so if you smoke blunts pack ahead of time. also coke isnt that cheap in that part of mexico. its about 20-30 dollars a gram, but its pretty good so yeah
seriously, do not be worried at all... i asked a dude who looked like a stoner at the hotel if he knew where i could pick up any weed, and he replied "in town." So here i am, getting kind of pissed that that is all the help with which he could provide me.. turns out thats all i needed to know. the second i stepped onto the main boulevard and started walking the shops, vendors literally pulled me into shops where they proceeded to offer me "necklaces, bracelets, cuban cigars, weed, ecstasy, coke, you want it i got it man.." i have long hair, so i am sure that played some role in them picking me out so quickly. and when i say vendors, i mean literally every vendor. so my best advice is this: look the part. honestly, all i did was have long hair and people were begging to sell me weed. the weed is all shit (obviously, what else would they sell to tourists?) so don't settle for the prices they offer you. you can haggle for weed, just like any other commodity they are trying to sell you. i, for instance, talked down one shopkeeper from $150 to $25 for a quarter. remember, these guys are just looking to rip you off, they want all the money they can get (or just any). it's soooooo easy, you have no idea. every vendor also offers to sell you any drug... and you can buy them using your credit card (not that i would recommend that.) people are pretty nice too, i was approached more than once and offered to smoke a joint with some random kid looking for some tourists with whom he could hang out (good thing i had my hispanic friend there to translate) oh, and by the way, i wasn't even 18 when all of this went down
i was just in cancoon at the iberostar all inclusive resort (very good resort) and some street vendors came in and set up stands and one of the guys had a shitload of pipes and i baught one and started to talking and asking him about weed and he was telling me that the waiters and the resort i was at had there own little organized business for selling weed and hash and he said it ran from like 10-15 dollers a gram. and then when i went to talume all the stand owners were selling both weed and coke
i was just there and walked throught the market and literally had guys coming up to me asking me if i wanted weed, coke, ecstacy. i bought like 2 grams of weed for $20 it wasnt the best but it was pretty good. someone else i was with just asked the cab driver and he stopped and got some. whoever said dont leave and go to someones house is right.
