it seems to me that there is a question presented to certain people during certain trips that bring you over to the other side. the question is would you like to stay here forever with us, or go back and live the rest of your life. i was presented with this question the first time i ever did mushrooms. it drove me insane, would i like to go away with these alien caretakers, or go on with my normal life, i couldn't decide. i picked both, i would tend to both worlds when needed.

my question is tho, can you actually stay with them, if you said im coming to stay with you forever, would you wake up from your trip when it was over, or would your body suddenly disappear and the record of your life be stripped away from our reality? is it possible to never come back, if you choose not to?

I believe it is possible to not come back, and thats where all the horror stories of doing these drugs come from....people choose not to mentally/spiritually return but physically they have to for whatever reason and then are seen as psychotic, schitzo, whatever, because all that is left is a physical shell of what once was...
but the spirit itself is functioning in another dimension on another level which seems crazy to those grounded in the physical world....

not coming back is death. The mushroom shows you a void in which all forms of souls and spirits bond together in cosmic star dust. Choosing to be with the mushroom is death. I did have one trip where I realized this and I had thoughts of commiting suicide. I'd rather not die so I laughed and continued on my journey.

I totaly agree with the second post. If you decided not to come back, your mind would be free and one with the cosmic consciousness, but you body has to remain here for whatever reason, so other people would see you as a crazy person.

my mushroom trips arent like that. low doses are just intelectually amusing but when i really take alot it not a question of staying or going back. its more like being reborn

If you eat a shroom, just one.

    You will die.

    You will go crazy first

    Then you will die.

    Then it will be beautiful.

    Fuck off.

    Bullshit ahoy!

You can't "not come back". Everyone "comes back", because psilocybin is metabolized in the body. Period. End of discussion. The chemical stops working eventually, always. First of all, 99% of those "horror stories" you hear are fake. Period. Second, those people who "go crazy" from psychedelics are only having latent mental issues made manifest by trauma to the mind.

    That's it people.

    Please. Please. Please.

Stop polluting the drug community with quasi-religious BULLSHIT.

    It's disgusting! Grow up!

i'd think the treat of a mushroom experience is how finominally safe and familiar it feels, even if it's your first time. to be there forever would be pointless in my opinion, it'd take the miracle out of it if you don't have reality to compare it to.

yes the psilocybin wears off in a matter of ours, but were talking about your consciousness not ever returning, your physical body could be sober and your consciousness could still feel shifted into another reality without the use of any drugs. if you think it is religous bullshit, should i describe it in scientific terms, it is all the same thing either way. fundamental energy, spirit body, conciouness, god, these all the same thing, just a differnt term describing it. "could our fundamental energy body, leave our physical body , to forever stay in a higher frequency reality?" is that scientific enough?

    Or "higher frequency reality"!!!

It's cute to think this way when you're high, but if you actually come back to being sober and think that this stuff applies to real life in any way other than artistically, you are as deluded as anybody who believes in Santa Claus, Allah, the world being flat, or the Loch Ness Monster!

Think critically! Don't just jump willy-nilly at whatever explanation sounds cool and is beautiful and feels right! Often what feels right, is wrong! Have you learned nothing since you were a child?

well, one you dont have to be high to experience what im talking about. a lot of people do it sober, look up astral traveling, or metaphysics, someone like thomas campbell or robert monroe that have done years of research out of body completly sober, im talking about physicists and scientists here man. i mean just look up quantum physics, the double slit experiment proves that particles are fundamentally waves before observation of the wave turns it into a particle, so that mean we exist as waves fundamentally, we are just energy fundamentally, and billions of universes could exist on top of eachother if they resonated at different frequencies. that is hard proven science my friend.

and number 2, this is a drug forum my friend. a lot of these drugs are spirtual drugs. there called "entheogens", which means "god from within", i mean its probably for a good reason. have you ever hit dmt? i mean how can you hit dmt and tell me there is not other dimensions, there is not a linked conciouness, and there is nothing awfully beyond our everyday perception creating this experience?

you are thinking inside a box, you are thinking with closed mindedness and egotistical rationality, to think we are the ultimate and all that there is, that there is nothing more than our sweet little planet we call home and dusty space rocks that surround us, one who is open minded sees we are a little tiny spec of dust in the larger energy system that is beyond or little picture limited comprehension, therefore it seems mystical and magical and outright ludacris to any "normal" minded person, but really the way it works is not mystical at all, its just science, but it is science beyond our limited comprehension of the bigger picture. people believe god is some dude in the clouds makin people out of magic clay and smiting them if they dont abide to his wishes for no anal sex, but really it is all something more complex and much better thought out than that.

I'm just gonna wait and see if stalk comments on this. I may not fully comprehend whatever he says, but often times he ends these sorts of disputes.

for this theory to be true, you would first have to believe that mental illness really exists, which I don't(it's a very loose term that is used too frequently to label anyone that doesn't fit into societies "normal" way of functioning. I also believe it came about as another way to make people conform, which is a whole other conversation)....

any ailments, mentally or physically are manifestations of spiritual unrest or imbalance.

just curious mr. writer, what makes you such an expert on the subject anyways?!

I don't get why people have to get so worked up over a simple conversation, we all have different experiences and knowledge to offer and if anyone doesn't take EVERYTHING they read/see with a grain of salt than they are naive and foolish and deserve to learn their lessons the hard way...

this forum shouldn't rely on Stalk's knowledge or input, what are we his children?!

I agree that he is a beautiful soul with a lot to offer these conversations, but he is not the be all to end all, nor is anyone else.....

As a muslim I would appreciate at least some respect, if the comments on calling myself deluded indirectly and calling other people fucking idiots doesnt stop writer, well, you've been warned. Keep it civil, if your own beliefs satisfied the appetite of your mind then why get so uptight at someone's belief?
    Assalam alaikum.

The trouble with trying to reduce our entire life as nothing more than chemical reactions is the fact that the mind itself is not a physical entity.

Psilocybin is metabolized in the body, and can have effects that will change the mind for a lifetime.

What is quasi-religious bullshit for some is a serious question of someone else. It's no use and pretty lame to get rude just because you think you're too smart for talk about high frequence realities.

That being said, I didn't get question in the original post neither. You always come back from a mushroomtrip, there's no choice. Maybe you change, but you do come back. Unless you'd die which is never directly caused by the effects of the mushrooms.
