Why does the boy I love have to work next door to me? It seemed nice at first but it's getting difficult.

    Can We Play Footsie?

Please let my feet rest on your thigh.
They pass you each day and
    Jump for joy in touching
    The same ground.

    My feet love you!
Each day they pass you and
    The arches fall in disappointment
    As you look away.

    Don't you hear that?
On Monday the first toes break,
    Shatter as loud as
    She shattered your heart.

by friday they can't pass you anymore
I lay in pain and remember
    How the sidewalk felt under my feet;
    Hard, cracked, like your heart.

    So you've excused yourself.
My feet have never felt your heart.
    They've never trampled you,
    Just tip-toed around your smile.

Why should you want to hurt my feet?
They may be too big and
    They may stumble over curbs,
    But they're lovely and mine.

    I love your feet!
    I don't know why I should,
So flat and calloused. I've never
    Heard your footsteps pass mine.
