you have no freakin idea how pumped i am to get this bad boy.. never owning a boat before and being the fisherman that i am.. i'll probably jizz myself when i go pick it up from Cabela's in a week or two... Have $5k coming from student loans and i have less than $2k in school expenses.. so i figured i'd treat myself early by slapping this on my CC

    Cool.

Now you need to construct a jet engine, and then you'll be ready to hit the water :2thumbsup:

    I float all the time.

That does look like fun-but with those student loans you're going to be paying that off for years after it's gone.

that does look fun! It'd be cooler (in my opinion) if it was a 2 seater, go for a cruise haha

That thing does look fast, but then i see the ore so i'm confused

congrats man, hope you enjoy :sunny:

this one was $399.. plus a couple of accessories and a life jacket.. total was just over $500.. but i had a $50 off $500 or more from cabelas.. so it was under $500 when all was said and done...

@KevinH.. $500 out of a $20-30k in school loans is like taking a nickle from a dollar.. and it comes with a Lifetime Warranty

@goodvibes.. they make 2 seaters.. but i don't wanna spend $1200-$2000 on a 'toon.. at that point i'll buy a boat.. and it has oars because you row it.. but there is a transom on the back where one could attatch a small 2.5-4hp motor or a trolling motor to

The pontoons are shaped that way so that they are more aerodynamic and hydrodynamic.
It's similar to how a fuselage or wing of a plane is shaped, and for similar reasons.
It allows for slicing through the water, and the long body doesn't get as much drag.

If you think about it, it's kind've more important for a row boat to have a dynamic shape because then the rower/paddler has their workload cut down.

there are definitely more expensive ones out there.. but i'm not gonna be hitting any water above Class I.. so really no need to invest in the more rugged built ones.. basically just gonna use this on lakes/ponds and backwaters... might take it down one of the rivers one day but like i said.. it has no white caps or dangerous rapid

the other nice thing is you can control it with flippers.. if you dont want to use the oars

LOL! It wasn't that warm out... probably like 50F.. water was only in the low-mid 40s it felt.. but I had drove down to Cabela's the day before to pick it up.. and there was a break in the rain.. so what else was i to do? sit there and stare at it?

i feel sorry for the northern minnesota walleye fishermen.. the state pushed back opener because of late ice out.. one more reason i'd hate to live up there.. but it's so freakin beautiful that i want to live up there... one day i may just succumb to the idea of fishing through a hole
