I'm tired of having google spy on me. So I altered my hosts file to give all of google services the 127.0.0.1 IP address

Normally this works great.... I've blocked every single annoying porn site pop and millions of other sites with this approach. It's supposed to be bullet proof.

Except that Google.ca keeps doesn't obey the hosts file. I've rebooted, done everything possible. And it just keeps loading! I've even gone through the system registery and deleted everything even remotely associated with Google.

Any of you technical guys can tell me what's going on?
Any of you conspiracy guys, can you tell me what to think?

    Thanks

All cookies are destroyed. Plus I used window washer to make sure they are gone forever.

I can help you if we work fast. First you have to destroy all of your hard drives, cell phones and other electronic equipment that could contain bugs and burn down your house. Then, before the black helicopters show up, make your way to the Mexican border and find a man named Jose for a new passport to Amsterdam where you can hide out under a cloud of smoke in one of their coffee shops until contacted by Bjorn who will escort you to a facial reconstructionist and sex change doctor. Then you will be given a new identity.

Speak of this to no one, because, Google knows everything.

montreal-mark, nice of you to post a pic of yourself, but it should go in the "body-shots" thread, not politics. Don't you read the different thread topics before posting? Plus you should cover up your geni......
Never mind, it appears as though you have no balls.:p

Have you added entries for the google.ca subdomains, and checked for cached google pages?

It would be much easier and more comprehensive to just install adblock+ (and noscript).

Also, tracking cookies are not viruses, it's trivial to block google cookies, and if you're deleting stuff out of the registry willy-nilly you're doing it wrong, and risk making a mess.

    Trolls can wear you down.

Anyway I've been in several programmers and webmaster forums. Google has been know to make deals with firefox creators and service providers.

In many versions of firefox, google's address is coded directly into the browser to avoid use of hosts file blocking.

And many service providers (bell sympatic) will hijack your system inorder to make sure their "domain not found" urls and their clients (aka google) get used.

It's just more examples of "us" being abused by "them".

It is true that I am Québécois and all of our "swear words" are based on the catholic church. (ie: Tabarnac, Calice, Saint esprit, Baptême.. See wikipedia : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quebec_French_profanity ) But for me, I do not have any cares about christianty, islam or any other fundamentalisme. (Including athiest fundamentalisme)

    But having said that,
There are good people in the United States just like there are good people everywhere in the world. However sadly, even in Canada and Québec, good people are slowly becoming and extinct species.

    Having said that,
The United States has done many great things and has a very rich history. But today's culture of the United States tends to be one of denilisme, arrogance, "patriotic fundamentalisme" and ridiculing others as means of supporting your diachotomies of nationalisme.

And for the average american, they will not never change or hold their gouverment accountable as long as they can over-eat. And they are very prepared to be blind to the suffering of others as long as the food on their table never stops flowing.
