On October 9th, The Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church International sent out a bulletin for all of God's people to join together in an effort for us to take a stand for the future of not only our nation, but our world. Here is the message (Since it won't let me copy and paste) http://www.upci.org/prayergram.htm The basic plan is a 30 day prayer and fasting chain for all Christians beginning October 2nd through October 31st. Now granted, thirty days is a bit much, but any amount of time you can contribute (other than your regular fast) will be looked upon with favor by the Lord. To quote the last line of this letter... "We will make a difference by committing to this united prayer and fasting effort. By impacting our election, we will impact our nation. By impacting our nation, we will impact our world."
I know prayer works, but how will me starving myself impact the election? Also, how do you know starving myself for 30 days will make God happy? This world is doomed. It is written in The Bible. I will continue to talk to people and show them His light, however, I know what is comming because I have read it in The Bible. Nothing I do or anyone else for that matter can change Gods' plan. I welcome His return.
ther is so much destruction about to happen in the next 20 years, and it is scary. some people claim that the anti-christ will be the president of the united states. im not sure what will happen, bible related or not disaster is coming. just enjoy the way you live life now cause the future looks very dark...
Fasting shows your dedication to God. Man cannot live by bread alone. In my religion (I'm a Mormon and no my dad doesn't have multiplt wives that was ended almost 200 years ago) we do fasting through two meals in a row on the first Sunday of every month so we can literally live by the power of God. Also, the money we would have used to by the food but is now not spent, we give to the Bishop and after however long, it goes to buying food for the homeless.
Sad that mormons don't know if they are going to Heaven or not. Confusing that they read The Bible and don't believe what it says. Strange how The Bible says nothing needs to be added to it or taken away from it, yet in the first few pages of the mormon book it says that IT is the most important book ever. What a confused people the mormons are.
You know I think this could be a borderline case of violating the tax exempt status that all these churches enjoy. Just a thought. Tho a candidate is not NAMED, it is clear who they are refering to. That's a big no no if they wish to keep their tax exempt status.
