Just got a call from the post office. Apparently there is a package in my name being delivered that is leaking white powder.

I can't imagine what it could be, but if I were to speculate it could possibly be something like 100 grams of JWH which is illegal here in my state.

They gave me a phone number and told me to call as soon as possible. They called from a private number 2 out of the 3 times they called.

    What do I do?

I'm not you, or your legal representative.

I would RUN, not WALK to the post office, maybe choose to call first if that is your strategy. Arrive appearing in a hurry, to receive your package. No, it is not hazardous material (your game to play 'what it is? brother!' in response to anyone asking what is in your mail - that is your private business), no it is not for consumption(plant food ruse), no I will not be interviewed, bye, I have other business to attend to - I will tell the shipper to use reinforced packaging. Thanks! :afro:

Here, such events cause buildings to be evacuated with hazmat team emergency response. A mail facility cannot be contaminated - I fear someone probed your parcel with a scope. In such event, carry your lawyers cell number written on your body in marker. :mickey:

Let us know how the story hypothetically ends, I'm fascinated! :)

The simple answer to this is to go in and say you have no clue what it is or where it is from and tell them you won't accept it.

You aren't breaking any laws by having a package sent to you, unless of course you accept it.

yeah i agree with tom, i think your best course of action is to claim ignorance and refuse to accept it. Or you could just claim ignorance and see how the post office responds before you decide to refuse it.

I would def go get it. No one cares if its JWH. They are worried for people safety. Anthrax and the like.

Is there a test for which JWH it is that they can do? I am sure they can not seize it and ... wait, I think they can xD I'm high. so...

    Neways,

    1. Why did the sender not package something that expensive properly?
    2. Why was it shipped as one package?
    3. What do you need that much carcinogenic powder for?
    4. How much did it cost?

i think this is the best course of action, call them on the car ride there. be swift and dnt inform them as to what chemical it is, with no where to start they probably wouldnt be able to figure it out but stress it is not hazardouse.

    good luck my friend

also, I'd print up some pages on the internet on flower planting (bonsai planting probably) and to be safe go buy a plant from a store and have it in your house... in case you were to get raided, by claiming it is for plants while not having anything related to plants is juts gonna be a sticky path.

also do a computer hard drive delete, using this program - DBAN

    http://www.dban.org/

after you've done this go pick it up ASAP and just be prepared for the worst. this really sucks. I don't understand, you DID order a 100g package of JWH or no?

You could just get screwed if say...the vendor included an itemized receipt, which name the contents. Or any sort of labeling. Basically, if the post office opens it before you get there, you and the vendor could both be up the creek.

I think rcable's advise is totally best. On that, I have something to add.

#1 the post office doesn't know what it is aside from not radioactive and not anthrax. They wouldn't tell you there is white powder coming from your package if they knew what it was. They would call the cops because it's illegal in your state and wait for you to pick it up without tipping you off.

#2 You don't even know what it is. Maybe you ordered 100g of JWH-xxx, but you don't know that's what the supplier sent you. You don't know for a fact you're picking up an illegal item, and I'm just about totally certain it is not labeled JWH-xxx or anything you could get high off of if the vendor has any sense. Depending on where they shipped from, you can be sure it's not labeled like that so really the post office probably does NOT know what it is.

#3 it's probably the post office's fault. Ask them why they made your package leak white powder. ;) :p Did it go through customs? Maybe customs messed with it or the postal workers were rough with the package. Most vendors aren't stupid enough to just throw powder in an envelope, seal it and mail it off.

#4 go to pick up your package and see what they're so concerned about if they care to talk to you about it when you get there. Chill. If there is a cop there waiting to arrest you, don't sign for it.

#5 They don't know what your intentions are. In fact, go into this with the mindset and story (later if you have to make up a story for your lawyer, say nothing if arrested) that you ordered piracetam or something else you know something about that is not illegal and if it ever goes to court and they even determine that it is a JWH product, "it was the supplier's screw up. That's not what I ordered!"
