    we went to the butterfly gardens today

    more pics...

    the moth in the second pic gestates in its cocoon for 5 years and then lives for only 3 to 5 days as a moth. it's sooo beautiful, about 8 inches across.

    yeah, i was thinking while i was at the gardens that spending time with the butterflies was pretty good timing with all the stuff that's going on in my life. :)



    ~without change, we wouldnt have any butterflies.

    ps, the giant atlas moth must be very very wise after cocooning for 5 years with only it's own thoughts to keep it company. either that or totally insane...maybe that's why they only live for a few days? :p

    i have some amazing pics of butterflies landing on my son too, but i'm not going to post them. it was so cool, they really liked him, and he was really digging it too. 'twas a magical day. :)
