So, after spilling coffee all over the bathroom, & getting out to work late today... Adding insult to injury, I got stuck in gridlock behind some homophobic waste of a womb with a 'Real Men Love Jesus' bumpersticker. I wanted to drag him out of his truck, grab him by the ears, and scream...Real men love their mothers you latent twat!
Rapture ready, & stuff like 'if Mary had an abortion there'd be no Christmas' ones make me grit my teeth too.
Which ones just drive you over the edge?

    Those jesusfish are pretty annoying.
    And the dubya stickers.
I'm also really against the magnets. They're so...phony.

well when i had a car i didn't get mad at jesus fish. i just got myself a darwin lizard instead. (if you haven't seen one they look just like a jesus fish from a distance but when you get close enough to actualy see them they say darwin inside and have little feet on the bottem)

i also painted a little immagingary flag of my immaginary nation.

too much of that sort of thing would be lowering ourselves to that same level.
but i do remember someone who came up with the expression "nuke a gay baby whale for jesus". the only trouble with that of course, is there are bush wacko's who would take that litteraly rather then ironicly and say right on.

there's not too much anyone can do about anyone but themselves of course, other then by the examples we try to set. i mean about what anyone thinks and feels. i guess i'm guilty too, of wanting to make people think about what they think and believe instead of taking whatever it might already be for granted.

when people try to do this by passing laws, that is still tyranny, however well intended. to rob anyone of their own freedom of thought, as such irritating objects and expressions imply, is tyranny also.

I'm sure the people with the "real men love Jesus" bumperstickers find other people ignorant for having gay rights stickers and whatnot.. you know? think about it..

Think about what, Calisto, bigotry? Fear, ignorance, what? I'm missing your point.

I saw one a few weeks ago that said "My God's not scared of war!" and he had another on his big old gas-guzzler that was something like "Onward Christian Soldiers!" I was behind him at a light thinking how crazy this guy must be....then I realized that I'm in Texas and it made more sense.

Conservatives/christians have tons of f* up bumper stickers, like "Celebrate Guantanamo", "Kill a queer for Christ", "I speed up to run over hybrids", "Doing my part to piss off the heathen left", "Save the whales, collect em' all", "Save the seals, club a liberal", "First Earth, We'll pave the other planets later", and "Live better, drive a SUV". These are all real bumper stickers.

Here is a link to some good atheist ones -http://www.atheists.org/catalogue/shop/cat003.php

    ''

proof if anything, that if god is/was, supposed to have been so perfect, whould he have created these idiots. of course the're existence proves that evolution isn't perfect either. but then no one is claiming it to be.

of course there are always those who WANT to live in a world where people go arround beating each other over their heads. if their christ's return were to be a litteral event of an indevidual personality, the first hypocrits he would scourge from his temple would be them.

none of this of course has a damd thing to do with anything remotely close to ANY religeon, other then making a religeon of totaly brain dead idiology.

i must be a little dim myself as i've never understood the gratification of premeditated igonorance.

this crap would be funny if these, whatever they are, weren't so intend on destroying everything that's ever been worth a dam.

The magnet ribbons make me laugh, they have one for every cause.....I thought about making a "I have more magnetic ribbons than you" ribbon

ramblin' rose, that's a good one.:D I'd put one of those on my car.
That's exactly why I don't have any. Although, for me it's been difficult to find other secular folks locally. I've thought about an FSM (Flying Spaghetti Monster) bumpersticker, or perhaps a Darwin fish. Just to see if it might ever bring any out of the woodwork.

Haha, there are some good ones there.

I like the Who Wants Jelly Donuts (WWJD) and the evolution ones. Now the question is whether I actually want to spend the money and put them on my car.

the phrase "real men" would seem to imply the existence of such a thing as unreal men. oddly enough i have never met an unreal person. i have met plenty of people in the habbit of all but totaly deceiving themselves and occasionaly others, but every last one of them was tangably physicly present when i met them.

Maybe we need to create our own bumperstickers.

You know, "ONLY WEAK-MINDED PUSSIES LOVE JESUS" or "REAL MEN DON'T NEED FAIRYTALES" (with a picture of a Bible). :)

Those enviromental whacko ones piss me off, and those marrage = (stick man)+(stick woman) stickers. I'd like to get the real men love Jesus one though. I want a pro-abortion sticker that says kill 'em young. I've never seen one but it would make a good bumper sticker.

I had a magnetic ribbon that said "support the magnetic ribbon industry". I just noticed it's gone. I think someone stole it while I was at the grocery store.
