Has anyone traveled on AmTrak recently? I'm taking a trip from boston to florida sometime soon and I want to know if I can get my pipe at least down with me. Is the security like at airports or can I just walk on, no problem?
i dunno about security but they might beef up now that they passed the thing in congress to give amtrak 2 billion $
I wouldn't worry aboot it because secruity on trains are ALWAYS mild..Even over here in chicago, which you would think would have heavy secruity.
yea, its so easy. as a matter of fact, i had an eighth in my pocket with no hassle. its ultimately as easy as getting on and off of a bus. i did it like 4 months ago from mass to ny.
Nice, thats a big reason I want to take a train. Flying is fast and I like the actual flying, but it just isn't worth all the waiting, security, paranoia, lack of privacy, etc. I'll just enjoy my time on a train and read or something.
depends what stations ur goin to. like Grand Central has army people w/ m16s and dogs an shit, but a smaller station is going to be much easier. so, as long as your not going to be in an area such as Grand central, do it.
