Breif Amsterdam trip

So I'm going to Africa for two weeks, leaving on wednesday, to voulenteer at an orphanage. BUT on my way back I have an 8-hour layover in Pot City-- that's right, Amsterdam! Anyone who's been or knows the area want to give me some tips on the best way to spend 8 hours? I'm planning to at least buy some space cakes and eat um before i get on the plane... anyone know anything about shipping Weed to the states? Or which coffeeshops are the best? Or how much I can expect to pay for weed/space cake/a blowjob?

Anyting shipped out of A'Dam will be watched carefully, I'd say drive to a small town near by and ship it. There's about a 50/50 chance it'll make it through. Yes, definally pick up some cakes and some shrooms before you board the plane.

I'd recommend the PinkFloyd, Mellow Yellow, and Grasshopper.

 

I heard that you can even buy RC's in Amsterdam, such as 2ce, 2ce, AMT, and all that shit.

I didn't see any RC's of course I wasn't lookign at the time. I know that they don't playa round with harder drugs over there though.

 

Not all RC's are "hard drugs" though. AMT is, of course, but 2ci definitely isn't and 2ce can be pretty gentle. Methylone is very gentle, from what I hear.

 

i hope they don't sell *research* chemicals to unsuspecting citizens.

last time i was in Holland, all i found was piles of excellent bud and bags of good shrooms. but that was over four years ago, so who knows what's happening now. i spent quite a lot of time over there. check out the green house and the grey area. if they're still selling great white shark and ak-47, respectively, you'll be in for a real treat. then again, there's good pot all over the place. better yet, go to the nearest shop and you'll be set... peace

 

haha dude I gotta get over there sometime in the near future. My fiance and I are considering making it a honeymoon trip, if we have enough money or if someone wants to help us out with it as a wedding present. That'd be sweet!!!

 

arg its so fruturating 8 hours is not nearly enough time... just enough to go get baked and bring home some cake i suppose... do you think I could have cake in my bag through security? I don't really see why not, unless the drug dogs can smell it...

Yea, they probally will charge you a slight fee to do it. But, then again they might charge you out the ass.

 

AHH! One of my best friends went there 2 years ago. She loved it, the downside though is that none of the kids wear diapers in the orphanage so more often then not you are covered in their "waste". My girlfriends in Uganda right now so you'll be neighbors...kinda. Have fun!

 

Someone mentioned Grasshopper. Avoid like the plague. Nasty tourist trap. Same with Bulldog, Smokey, all the coffeeshops in the red light district, La Canna etc etc etc

Nice places to buy weed/hash: Nes Cafe (Nes 33), Amnesia (Herengracht 133), Tweede Kamer (just off Spui), Grey Area (between Singel and Herengracht).

Those are by no means the cheapest smoke you'll find in town but these shops always have consistent quality and a fairly nice vibe.

Rokerij is a really good place to hang out (the one near the station), as is Bluebird, De Kuil 420 Cafe, Greenhouse Namaste, Homegrown Fantasy and Global Chillage. These are all fairly 'famous' shops and there are plenty of nice small friendly places that are less touristy and more dutch.

Your best option is just to take a walk around and decide for yourself. There's many different shops with many different vibes for the diverse collection of people in the city. My heaven might be your hell etc...
