sometimes, when I'm listening to music, and I hear a lyric that I especially agree with, a sensation will come through the back of my head, travel down my spine, and in some instances even spreads into my limbs.

It also happens when I think about deep, or emotional things.

I've started to associate with a feeling that something is "right"

Like an agreement from my soul.

It sorta feels like an electric current, or like my brain is sorta itching.

    but it feels goooooood.

One of my favorite sensations, I'd say.

anyone ever have any experience with this?

Ive had that feeling where music feels like electricity running through your head.
My friend thinks that the lightning bolt in the stealyourface skull represents music and I guess it makes sense.

when i hear something that resonates with how i'm feeling, i usually get the goosebumps. it doesn't even have to be lyrical... it could just be a melody that really pinpoints how i'm feeling at the time.

I'm really happy I found your post. I think I go through the exact same thing. A lot of the time when I am reading or listening to music (almost never from anything else) I get a tingling feeling that spreads from a point in my brain and then expands to my entire brain and sometimes into my whole body. Like you said, it usually happens when something in the song/book has some type of deeper meaning to me.

I only started getting these feeling about a year ago. As time went on, it became apparent that the timing of the feelings were not random. The only way I have to explain it is that I feel like I am being guided by these feelings or basically being told to take advice from the book/lyrics.

It is a very hard thing to explain this feeling to others bc they usually think it is just a cold shiver. It is not anything like that. It is almost orgasmic. I have come to look forward to the feelings, so I will be sad if it is some sort of medical condition. The timing is so weird though. Anyways, I am happy I found someone out there that, from what I read, has the same thing going on as me! Maybe I'm not going as crazy as I thought I was!

    edit:

so like, i think i may know what your talking about now. i am listening to the band Black Mountain, and i got the exact same thing. its so cool. im still getting it, im actually starting to feel a bit emotional. this band is so rad, it mustve hit the right spot eh? oh man their so chilled out, holy shit

so cool, i dont see how this is a psychological problem tho.

It's a shiver. A chill down your spine and throughout your body.

It's very common when something effects you emotionally.

    What about them?

I tend to associate these sensations with perhaps, old vibrations from a previous life.

Telling me what is closest to my soul, and what my values are.

    If that makes sense.

I doubt it is much of a chemical thing, as it isn't random at all.

The second link I provided is a lot more dead-on. But that's up to you if you want to ready it all.

I'm sure what you're describing is what people call "shivers down your spine". This can either be a extremely pleasant feeling during times of pleasant emotion, or extremely displeasant.

If you still don't think that's it, you may just want to believe it's much more than that. Not saying that's a bad thing, just a very neutral thing.

Im not saying that what your feeling doesnt hold spiritual significance

but it can be explained in physical terms.

You might just be sensitive to energy.
