Hey guys, I'm kind of new here so if my post sounds stupid then just let me know. Well I've done acid about 10 times now and I'm thinking about stoping because I'm not sure if it affects the brain. I've heard a lot of crazy rumors as to the dangers of LSD on the brain and certain chemoreceptors but I was wondering; does anyone have any solid research to back this up? Thanks, UncleCid
Good point but I just wanted to see if anyone knew if those rumors are valid or not. But until then I'm gonna drop another tab or two. Haha
LSD does not cause any physiological changes within the brain. If it caused brain damage, I think we'd know about it by now.
That's just rumors. I've been tripping countless times since I was 14 (which is more than half of my life) and my brains are far from fried. Everybody here could tell you the same I guess.

HPPD is no joke though. I have it from mushrooms. It makes it very difficult to drive at night. I like it though. Its like I'm on a perma-trip. :2thumbsup:
My fiancee has HPPD more than I do. I don't notice it very much. Still images seem to have subtle life to them. Like your sig, the trees look like they are swaying a bit. Pictures of fractals and stuff look like they would on a low dose of acid. My HPPD is fairly new though, occurring within the last month. My fiancee has constant tracers and sometimes full blown hallucinations where shit will get wavy or everything will look huge/tiny. He has had it for a few years now. He got it after doing 2C-B. I got it after doing 2C-E. Mushrooms gave me perma synethesia. I taste certain words.
^^^which words? you sure about that? i'm not saying that CHANGES are damage, because the brain is constantly changing. and taking drugs most certainly DOES change brain activity. LSD binds to serotonin receptors in your brain and causes neurons to respond differently than they normally would. i would also say that caffeine and nicotine also bind to certain receptors in the brain and influence it. long term effects are another issue. i think if used moderately LSD is quite safe
