yea....dont just boycott kfc. go vegetarian! like jiva said....pretty much all chickens and cows are raised under the same conditions. any meat you might go to the grocery store and get is raised the same way. unless you specifically buy certain free range meats you can be gaurenteed it was raised in the same manner. sickening.
Haven't eaten there since the early 80's. Stopped eating chicken in 1987. Antibiotics and salmonella -- no thanks.
BlackTar_46, It might seem odd, but PETA are the worst people to document animal welfare...especially a large coporate company like KFC. They have an agenda and that video is misleading and out of date. Sure...look into what KFC do...but try another source of information and keep it upto date. PETA will NEVER alter their opinion of KFC and will constantly ram that video down peoples neck...true or false. That is their publicity. I agree raising your own chickens is the way to go, and if you're boycotting KFC you might as well boycott just about any store bought chicken, it's disgusting what they do to those birds. We've got chickens mostly for the eggs, but we butcher some of the older chickens and the roosters. The meat and eggs are much better than you can get at the store, and it's satisfying knowing that what you're eating was raised humanely in your back yard, free range with no growth hormones or antibiotics.
I don't eat KFC. I really have stopped eating at all chain restraunts. However, that is my choice. I don't think that slamming chickens against a wall is a good thing. Sure I most certainly am againt outright cruelity like that. It would be a good thing to stop those kinds of things.
I stopped eating KFC about 7 yrs ago ..its disgusting, and the animals are treated like shit. Even when I did eat it, it wasnt very often, that food makes you feellike crap

Sign me up. Not ALL animals sold as meat in the grocery store are mistreated, but most of them are, because treating animals humanely is cumbersome and expensive. I like the Jewish idea of kosher meat being the product of animals that led decent lives, because the karma and well being of the animals is passed along to those that eat them. Then there's the issue of antibiotics and growth hormones. I don't want that shit in my body. You are what you eat.
Yes that is true, but they are especially egregious. beside that though..................... they use so much MSG in their food that I would starve to death before eating that shit. The last time I eat at KFC I was returning from a long trip and in west Texas and that was the only option and eat some chicken popcorn or what ever they called that box of shit and a 1/2 later I was sick. Avoid processed foods no mater where they come from...., Here is a good story, when I lived in AZ on a small ranch we went to a cattle auction and had to wait till the bitter end to pay for the steer we bought. When all the normal steers were sold they then brought out the freak show. Cows with Cancer, with tumors hanging of them Cows with 3 legs Cows that wolves took a bite out of. There was one man bidding on all the freaks. Me and my mate wanted to know what he did with the freaks, we surmised that he wanted them for medical experiments. So we had to ask what he wanted them for, he answered that for Taco meat. We were freaked out, and asked him how could they use steers that had cancer? He said that there was nothing illegal about selling meat that had cancer and when it is all ground up who would know? Who did he say he bought them for? Taco Bell. Peace Dan
