Everyone's been talking about immigration since some people in Orange County made it an issue. Like these people just looked up and a hoarde of Mexicans started rushing the border.

''Where'd all these immigrants comming from?" [IMG]

Then a bunch of Congressmen are scaring old white men that their jobs are going to get taken. How many illegal immigrants do you see in Congress?

How many of these Congresmen do you think have someone named Lopez looking after their house while their out pretending to make laws?

This whole issue is ridiculous. But their playing off legitiamte fears. There are problems with illegal immigration, their is crime, poverty, and they don't pay taxes, because their paid under the table.

Idiots who want to throw up a wall don't realise that would not only be devestating to trade, but more importantly, becase of the heavy trade and NAFTA we already have, we'd just outsource many more production jobs to Mexico.

So how about this for a thought, we tighten the borders by strenghthing border control and enforce laws that already are on the books.

People in this country should have amnesty. And that's because... we want them here. We offered them lax border security and jobs, and they took it.

We should also allow them to take part in social programs, because it will help lift up their communities and not let ghettos form and crime flurish.

How do we pay for these social programs? We make their jobs legitamate, so they get fair wages and so we can tax them.

Plus think of all the great things that Mexican culture has done for us,
the food, the culture... the senoritas. [IMG]

So why won't you address the problem of people who cannot easily assimilate into our society, flooding across the border unchecked? Do you think they're all coming here just to work and raise families? Some are, but many are not, and you are naive if you think otherwise. Many come here just to leach off of the system, and it's gotten to the point where American citizens have taken a back seat to illegal immigrants when it comes to medical attention and such. They'll treat an illegal without question, yet if you're a hard-working American citizen who doesn't have health insurance, well, I am afraid that's a different story.

Who makes up for the costs generated by these illegal immigrants? YOU DO! Or, in this case, mommy and daddy.

Aside from the economic strain this has on the country, its impact is so great in so many ways it cannot be measured. It's eventually going to topple this country, because no country can leave its borders open to an unarmed invasion and expect to survive. It just doesn't work that way.

The day is fast approaching when Mexican immigrants will outnumber Americans in this country, and I hope you, Lodui, will enjoy licking their boots.

There is a difference between LEGAL immigration and what is taking place now, which is being promoted by the financial and corporate elite, who could not care less about you or the Mexicans. The ultimate goal is to lower the wages and living standard in this country, but some people are apparently too STUPID to see this. Instead, they are greeting their own oppression with open arms like the brainwashed fools they are.

Goodness, I must be losing it. Weren't the pictures obvious? The photos are generations of immigrants that ancestry was at one time illegal. Only when they came over, stole land, and made the original inhabitants look like monsters for trying to protect their lands and way of life; it was ok and expected. We seem to forget that the whole system of illegal immigrants was founded by people that came here to start a fresh and build new ways of life. We get caught up in the name calling and the badgering that we forget that it was not always the way it is now. The original Americans had different way and different values and then some new group of people came in, bulled with numbers under dishonest guises and took over. Don't you think after 400 years that it's someone else's turn? (The more things change the more they stay the same.) Why are the Mexicans so wrong when the English were viewed as heroes? The Mexicans never lied about trying to be friends or adapt to the local culture and learn the language. They are just darker more honest Pilgrims.

Do you? Because in the city of Indianapolis it's very close to becoming a reality. Large portions of the city already contain almost twice as many hispanics as caucasians.

Rat, I already adressed the issues you raise.

    1. Why won't you address the issues of people who cannot easily Assimilate?

Cultures cannot assimilate when ghettos form.

Ghettos form when immigration is allowed, yet people are kept from participating in social programs, and kept from getting jobs. This is apparent in much of Europe.

    2. Do you think everyone here wants to work?

I addressed this issue too. The fast majoirty of immigrants are here to work, and ones that aren't shouldn't be allowed visas as a path to citizenship.

    3. How do we pay for this?

We make their jobs legitamate. This will mean a better wage for immigrants, which will lead to less need for social programs, and a larger tax base to fund needed programs.

And not that this has anything remotley to do with the issue, but I am employed, and get nothing from my parents, nor have I spoken with my father in years. You're a presumptive paraniod idiot who posts a few talking points you get from conspiracy websites.

The town I grew up in had a hispanic majority, and I've lived in Texas most of my life, which has had a large hispanic population, most of my girlfriends and many of my friends have been hispanic.

And yet somehow I've never been subjegated.

You're paranoid, racist, and can't make a point without making personal attacks.

So if you can't come up with some original commentary, instead of sprinkiling highlights from Rense articles with insults, feel free to shut the fuck up.

Well, if they were kept from getting jobs (which they're not), then why are so many coming here for work? And tell me in what instances they're kept from social programs. An illegal immigrant in America gets more attention and better treatment from the state than its impoverished citizens.

Do you have ANY evidence that proves the "vast majority" of them are here to work? You write those words as if it's gospel, despite having nothing to back it up with.

You also say the ones who don't work shouldn't be allowed visas, but that doesn't matter because they're already here and they're not going back. Whether they have a visa or not, it doesn't mean shit because Bush has already made it clear that he's all for amnesty.

Well, the point is that they're here illegally. As we see the deindustrialization and outsourcing of the United States, we see more and more once Middle Class people accepting jobs they wouldn't have dreamed of working 5-10 years ago. And it's not just fruit picking and fast food jobs that are being filled by immigrant workers. When these jobs, too, are completely filled by illegal workers, who will the citizens have to turn to but the state. You talk about improving the lives of people here ILLEGALLY, while the lives of average Americans fall apart. What a joke!

You say I attack and insult, but what do we have here? Not only that, I sense some anger, so perhaps maybe what I said struck a chord.

Yeah, I am racist because I care about the future of this country and its people. I care about how they're being sold out by a bunch of elite corporate fascists who are behind everything that's going on.

Don't give me your racist bullshit, cuz it's not going to fly with intelligent people who have their facts straight, unlike you, who doesn't have any facts at all other than what propagandists for the Bush administration have told him.

Unlike you, I am also well-read, and my sources go well beyond quack conspiracy websites. I have combed through history enough times to know what is real and what is bullshit.

I know that high-ranking members of the Council on Foreign Relations plan on doing away with our borders and merging us into a North American Union, and I know their agenda doesn't have the people's best interests in mind. This is why it's being kept secret and being done without people's knowing. Because of this, I speak out about what I believe is wrong.

I am attacked by people like you, who only know what the news tells them and nothing more. They deny the evidence and resort to empty rhetoric in an attempt to drown out what they know deep down is the truth, but are too spineless to face.

They are kept from jobs in much of Europe, which is the instance for the very prevelant ghettos and situations where up to half of communities can't get jobs.

    No they don't.

There are obviously not statistics about what percentage of illegal immigrants which are employed, because jobs that are under the table are often not taxed, and never reported for having illegal immigration here.

But jobs are very prevelant for illegal immigrants, and they don't cross the entirety of Mexico and leave behind their families to enjoy the vacations of Arizona's desert.

They come here because we offer them jobs, not because illegal immigrants benifit from free rides in the US. If you think they do then you really lack perspective on immigration.

I am too, because there are already Millions of people we created a market for their services, and we shouldn't kick these people back into jobless poverty because some politicians in Idaho decided to make it an election campaign.

10 million jobs add a fairly substantial ammount to our economy, and hopefully they can work at jobs beyond fast food jobs because those are jobs more likely to uplift their communities.

But unemployment is very low. We have more then enough jobs for the people here. The fact that many people are living below there means has almost nothing to do with the labor pool, it has to do with the fact that minumum wages haven't increased while costs of living have somewhat substantially.

Because it had nothing to do with the thread, and you instigated it. I'm not going to take this shit either.

I loathe my father, and you did strike a chord implying that I'm dependant on him.

If you admit it, whatever. But Immigration isn't the means by which fatcats rob from you.

    Sounds racist.

If you're not you should refrain from saying things that sound racist in a thread about immigration.

If not I'll call you on it. It's an intollerable personality deficiency.

Everything you post following is about a secret conspiracy, which isn't relevant to the issue of immigration.

A secret conspiracy IS relevant to the issue of immigration because the Elite CFR agenda is to do away with our borders, like me and others have been saying, while you have been ignoring.

I've read more of this secret global orgnization then most of the people on these forums who perpetuate it, save for you.

I just haven't seen anything belivable come out of it.

I'll still post in threads, and you're welcome to post in mine, but lets keep is a little more civil from here on.

You can still reserve the right to call me a sheep. Let's just keep it less personal.

Right, it's not believable if its coming from the mouths and documents of the people planning this shit themselves. Ever read anything by Carroll Quigley or Zbigniew Brzezinski? I didn't think so.

    No, they're not conspiracy writers.

Ever read any CFR documents? Didn't think so.

Pretty much everything you know is what the establishment has told you. They have told you what to believe. They have determined for you what is real and what is conspiracy, and of course talk of a world government is a conspiracy theory, even though they speak openly about it in their published reports.

    I've lived in San Antonio.

The immigrant communities are very colorful and add much to the area.

Texas immigrant communities are suffering from the aformentioned problems of not being able to pay for essential services because of rigid regressive tax policies, and the fact that we're 49th of 50 states in revenue and spending.

The revenue we collect is completly to regressive tax policies which affect the lower class much more disproportionately.

    http://www.shapleigh.org/files/focus_documents88.pdf

Immigration can be dealt with in very effective reasonable ways, which help them integrate into society and uplift their communities but not in situations like Texas where our governments completly broken.

    And illegal as Hell.

Laws should be enforced as written
unless proven to be illegal/ unconstitutional.

    Don't like the law?
    Fine but
do not allow selective enforcement to substitute for revision
    and
do not 'reward' Folks that broke the law before it was revised.
