Anything by Franz Kafka is a total mind trip. Check out his short story "The Metamorphosis" about a travelling salesman who wakes up and realizes he's a giant cockroach. [IMG] Also there's a lesser-known author, Dino Buzzati, who was a master of the "irreal". Most of his stuff is only in Italian, but if you can find it, check out his short story "The Falling Girl" about a girl who falls off a skyscraper and has conversations with people on the way down (& a romantic encounter or 2). [IMG][IMG][IMG] Guaranteed to mess with your mind.

I'm gonna have to go with the obvious answer here-Naked Lunch
Also any of Burroughs' cut-up novels.

The one I can't remember the tile or author of, but I'd KILL to be able to get my hands on. The tile was all numbers. like: 2015, 2051,2501,2510.

Haha...Dayyummn. :D I'm reading it right this very minute. This section that I'm on right now, a.j.'s annual party, is so fucked up. :D I love it. It goes slow, but I'm glad I'm not rushing through it because, sadly, a lot of it makes sense to me. :D

Matt: was it fiction and about a guy from the present who gets transfered to an utopian future? If so, I read it too. I can't remember the numbers either (can't remember numbers to save my life).
