Where (if anywhere!) do you find hair on your body attractive? Where (if anywhere) do you find your body hair not attractive? Do you feel the same way about body hair on other women or does it vary with the amount/type of hair? Finally do partners (past/present) express preferences for body hair in different places, either to grow, keep or remove?
i've fairly recently decided to stop shaving my legs and even more recently my underarms, and i love it. i feel much more like myself and i dont have to worry about the daily hassle of shaving. it may turn off most guys my age, but i'm not looking for one anyway and if they cant accept me in my natural state then fuck them.
Good on you- it takes strength to go against the common consensus. Personally I think natural is much better + certainly less hassle + cheaper.
natural is what was normal when i was in long-term relationships. it never came up for discussion. now within the last few years there's all these online discussions about whether we should shave this or that. i think it's just a fad. another reason not to shave is the extra burden on the environment with all the plastic disposable shavers and chemical shaving creams, etc. yeah...less hassle, cheaper, better for the environment...it's a no-brainer as far as i'm concerned.
i like my legs and pits shaved... yes i use disposible razors but i re use them a fair bit. and i just use soap, not "chemical shaving creams" i prefer having pubic hair. my partner finds performing oral much easier without. so i trim right around my clit so that its not in his way and leave the rest, basically.
it's not about what one person does, it's about what the human species as a whole does...especially now that we have fads spreading like wildfire via television, cinema & internet. 2 billion disposable razors a year go into landfills. and that is only one disposable item among thousands. and many of these disposable items are fad driven. men were finding clits just fine loooonnggg before the current shaving fad. i'm sure the current crop of sexually active men could handle it too.
i don't shave my pits, my legs or my bikini area (i do trim my bikini area on the occasion)...and if you don't like it, don't look at it....
Im a firm believer in shaving everything... i feel dirty if i dont and i love the way my legs feel when they are all smooth and hairless?
The only place I find body hair universally unattractive on a woman is her face (mustache, chin hairs, thick peach fuzz, unibrow, etc).
I don't shave anything. I'd rather not put pollutes into our environment, spend the money or time over something so natural. Also, I'd rather avoid itchiness or the potential to develop a cancerious bump from shaving.
it is about what one person does sometimes though. when it feels like ONE person is attacking a group of people who do a certain thing (ie shave sometimes using disposible razors) that feels like an attack and it sucks to be beaten up upon because of one choice because you cant afford non disposable razors (i can never find them for less than twice the cost of a 12pack of disposables and, like i said, i reuse my disposables so they last forever)
How can you say that shaving is a fad? I don't really get that. Women have been shaving for years it actually started in the yearly 1900's about 1915. So I really don't get how you are calling it a fad.
i will go a few weeks without shavin my legs but i have to shave my armpits and my yoni atleast 3 times a week. i find that when a guy has the lil patch of hair right above his butt is so damn sexy and turns me on so much.
I'm a product of 50s and 60s thinking. And shaving was the way to go. I've had spells where I shaved nothing and it felt great. Then I reverted back and began to shave legs and armpits again. I grew up in So. California...so you sorta had to shave. But here in Maine, people don't give a shit. You are what you are. The older I get though, the more important it is to me to keep those places shaved. It's hard aging gracefully in this society. So, you do what you can to keep the "body beautiful"....beautiful. As much as that's an uphill battle at my age. I do NOT liked shaved pubs...on myself or my men. A good bush rocks, on men or women. Mr. Wonderful, who spent some years in Germany in the Army during the 60s, could care less if I let it all grow out, anywhere. God love him.
expressing an opinion is not an attack on anyone. a difference of opinion is just that...a difference of opinion.
