And they make such a hooha about the government losing people's details etc heh.

It's not the best idea having people's details published but could prove interesting as lots of the entries have the profession of the members as well as all their personal details. So teachers, police, soldiers, other public sector workers could come under (justified) fire for keeping their memberships secret... There seems to be quite a few who live abroad as well, bloody immigrants, going over there, stealing people's jobs etc etc

for research purposes only the list is here

Okay, fess up. Who's spent more than half an hour searching the list for all the friends/family members they can think of?

And on a more interesting note, who's actually found someone they know on the list?

It's like one of those Flash games where you know you should be doing more constructive things with your time but you can't tear yourself away. :D

I've not found anyone I know yet. Someone I vaguely know from work claimed to be in the BNP and someone else said they were joining, but neither of them are on the list.

    I did it too:eek:

Though it's probably not that ethical to post up people's names and private addresses, the BNP is a legitimate organisation even if they are fascist cunts...

The damage is probably done now. It's deleted, but there will probably be more than a few people who saved it before it went kaboom, and now have 3.27mb of member details on a hard drive somewhere.

Nah just kidding. I doubt i'll actually know anyone, but if I found out I knew someone on there, I would tell everyone.

If you still wanted to see it or for some wise words from Nicky G

I'd strongly advise against going and picketing people's houses... That is a bit, erm, fascistic imo just for someone being a member of a political party (no matter how shit the politics). You can also be arrested for home demos now as well, just a warning...

I'm sure most people on that list are just your average fuckwits from everyday life and not all are crazed far right deathsquad fascists, though I'm sure there are some. The BNP is too lightweight for much of the far right anyhow, just like Respect or Left List aren't representative of 'real' leftist politics heh.
