I've always had pretty thin, silky hair and I love it. I've dyed it a few times this past year but no damage has been done to it. However, now I want to bleach it. Will this totally ruin the softness of my hair? Will only doing it once be ok? How much is too much? I want it platinum too, so how do I do that without hurting my hair?
I don't think there is any way to bleach your hair without doing damage. I mentioned it to my hair dresser once (hes a color specialist and he's really good at what he does) and he freaked out ...."Don't EVER think about putting bleach in your hair!!!" You can still get it really really blonde with color...just go to someone who knows what they are doing.
oh yes bleach will totally destroy everything you love about your hair. if you are truely hell-bent on bleaching it, i suggest putting a color back into it after youve removed it.... like a really light blonde. when yopu bleach you hair, it takes all the pigment out of your hair shaft leaving it open and brittle and prone to breakage. if you put color back INTO it after youve stripped it of everything, that will at least fill the shaft so your hair wont be SO weak. it will be weak though, esp if you have fine hair take it from me, i have fine hair myself. i went platinum for a while and it fucked my hair up so bad, it was breaking off @ the middle and it was a total mess. see that picture in my sig? thats me after the bleach. yes i went black in an attempt to save whatever i had left for hair good luck......
I wouldn't suggest bleaching either. I haven't ever bleached my hair,but I've seen the damage on other people's hair. Not pretty.
