this year i've had 2 major UTI's and previous to those i'd never had one before...my doctor recommended that i start taking a cranberry supplement to help prevent future infections. i have been taking one dose of AZO cranberry supplement, as well as a cup of Traditional Medicinals Cran-Aid tea daily. these have seemed to stave off infections so far.

yesterday i woke up having to take a killer pee, like the kind that takes over a minute to execute. i had slept the whole night, so i'd probably been holding it in for awhile...well, after i went, my bladder felt sore, and it felt sore all day yesterday, similar to the feeling of a UTI...but i don't have the pain when i urinate or the feeling of needing to urinate frequently that comes with a UTI. i'm pretty sure i don't have an infection, but my bladder feels sore...is this normal?

    god i hope i don't have a UTI...if i do, that would make 3 this year...ARGH. please lord, no!!!

doesn't sound like a uti to me but it could be something else, i'm not a doctor so i don't know but i get random aches and pains all the time like my stomach and bladder and kidneys and they've never been caused by anything, just completely random if that puts your mind at rest. its easy when you get cystitis a lot to worry about every little ache or pain because uti's are so horrible you get really paraniod that they're comin back, well i do anyway!

i would suggest also drinking a glass of cranberry juice a day if you can as this seems to work better at prevention than the pills according to girlfriends of mine who have tried both.

i don't want to tell you what to do tho cos i don't know you, but these are just suggestions!

    hope you feel better xxx
