So i had this dream a few years ago. I will first say that in the dream, I felt very aware of being awake, and I was in my bed inside the dream. I thought that I wasn't sleeping. My bed back then was positioned in the corner of my room, and not visible from the view of my bed was the washer and dryer around the corner to the right. Ok, so when it started, I heard some noises, like someone messing with the washer or dryer. I right away thought it was my brother, and then thought that it was time to get up for school, so I was getting ready to say "Hey dude can you turn my clothes on in the dryer?", when suddenly I saw the most real, slightly transclucent black figure step over my bed from around the corner. When I saw him coming around the corner, I noticed that my room was lit up by a deep blood red color, with no source of the light, but it was coming from the far corner of the room. The moment that I saw him, I froze and couldn't do anything. Couldn't shout, couldn't move. the usual paralyzation of fear that is triggered. I followed with my eyes where the figure walked. It didn't seem to look at me, but it walked INTO my drumset. which was on the left of my bed. After he dissapeared into my drumset, I woke up and was so confused, because it was so real. But i noticed that it was just a dream, because my drums were not there. In reality they were not currently in my house, but they always used to be there. In short, black figure walks by my bed, I think that I am completely awake, he walks into my drumset that isn't there really anymore. The most realistic dream I ever had, and the only one where i was in the same bed and the same room, as if I was really not sleeping.
i had a dream "experience" almost like yours earlier this year & posted it here with the title "ghostly dream", the part where i was between sleep & awake ( i thought i was awak at the time) saw the "figure" sitting beside my bed ... the paralize, the vivdness, the situation (exactly where i was sleeping), the confusion after waking up, was very similar. i have been looking for others with the same experience and found yours !! ... kane
I also had a similar dream...when I was about 5. The figure was coming towards me while I was in my bed. I was paralyzed, scared to death, tried to scream but couldn't...and finally before the figure grabbed me it disappeared. I'm not sure what the heck happened to this very day....
And what happened in real life shortly thereafter? Did some die or were you robbed or was your car broken into, etc.?
I had something like a dark figure appear and pure terror went through me. Scared the hell out of me and then I find out about "night terrors" which I think thats what it was. Had a couple where I was panting and felt like my heart was racing a mile a minute. I was awake but asleep. Freaky, luckily only happened a few times -- kinda like a bad trip.
