Ok, so my bestfriend is turning 16 (she's a girl)...We're more than friends really but we also are best friends...I've known her for about 4 years and she's been by my side the whole time and we love each other to death...well, as i said, she's turning 16 and i need a little help with what to get her...i plan on getting a really unique and cool card and i've already written a nice poem to put in it...now what else?

    Is she taken?

    Are you?

If you answered no to both questions, ask her to close her eyes while you get her present, and then give her a soft kiss. ;)

But I should include a disclaimer: She might melt into a puddle.

And if you answered yes to both of those questions ...

What does she want for her birthday? Find out and get it. :p

you should plan a fun day for the two of you!

since she's turning 16, is she getting her license? when people first get they're license, they love any excuse to drive. you could find something reasonably close. or if she's not driving yet, you could bike somewhere or check out the local bus route.

i'd pick a day real close to, but not on, her actual birthday. her parents might feel jipped if they want to eat dinner with her. if she has a cell phone, people will probably be calling to wish her a happy birthday, and interrupting your time together.
    • you could get some cheap amusement park tickets since it's the off-season, and pack a picnic lunch to take with you (the food inside will probably be pricey).
    • you could find a nice rooftop downtown... climb the fire escape, set up some candles, a blaket and a cd player, and take her up there with some taco bell at night.
    • whats nearby? where do you live? pack some birthday cupcakes or some smores and build a bonfire on the beach, or in the mountains, or by the lake. if the weather is still nice where you live, you could take her camping!! or find an open field to play in... bring a frisbee or a kite and roll around in the grass together.

Aha!! I love that idea! You know, sweetest day is coming up! Sure it's another corporate scandal to get your $$ but so nice to get your special someone a stuffed bear and a gentle kiss. Harah!

    Simple:

Make her dinner (it's a challenge at our age, I know but that makes it all the more special)
Pamper her (learn how to do backrubs properly)
    Flirt with her
And get her something, that may seem too obvious but that'll work as a present.

First thing that pops into your head (within reasonable price obviously) - once you go for the blindingly obvious it becomes so much easier.

    Blessings

make a donation to an organization in her name as a gift. They will send her a thank you card as well as other things.
Another note would be to make her a customized crossword puzzle. You enter the clues and the answers...make them something that only the two of you share or that reflects just how much you know about her on more than a physical level. They are free, so just go to this link, create and print! http://www.puzzle-maker.com/
