anyone ever see a t-shirt with the word "Billabong" on it?

think its funny?

hahaha this happened to me at school. it was suposed to look like the current "fad" , name-brand surfer/beach style t-shirts. (even tho we live hours... even days from ocean) i laughed and pointed it out and she didnt get it.

then i laughed more because i knew that not only had she never seen a surf board... she had no idea wat a bong was.

i might as well wear a "SCORPIO" t-shirt even tho im a LIBRA.

I think snowboarders and skaters also wear that brand though... I could be wrong.

 

So what....its just a shirt. She probably liked it...hence the reason she wore it. So what if she has never seen a surf board in her life? Does that mean that she MUST NOT wear what she likes just so she doesnt come across as a "poser" to you? Chill out kid.

 

i have billabong shirts and shorts and i live an hour away from the beach. billabong is everywhere in australia. their is an classic ice cream called billabong.

a billabing is a watering hole any way.

ya i kno its her fashion, her life, she can do whatever she wants.... not like i seriously went up to her and gave her shit about it.... i just secretly laughed for about 3 seconds but now i kno it has meaning... not really funny anymore.

youve got to excuse my ignorance on this mattter. ive got no idea whats happening in the world of fashion, especially sporty or beach fashion being as i myself have never seen a surfboard and been to a beach a total of 1 times.

im just being a jackass as usual. somehow it was amusing

erin is right. it means watering hole and the brand was started in australia (probably out of the town billabong...) and so it has nothing to do with pot. i use to live in san diego and it's popular (along with other surfer brands). a lot of people wore them and no one expected it meant you actually surf. though, i do understand. when i moved to idaho and found a Pacific Sunwear store (surf clothes shop) in the mall i laughed and asked someone where the waves were.

 

when i was 18 i had a shirt that said "Fillabong". I liked it.

 

that's awesome. it made me laugh out loud. first time today

 

good i have not laughed out loud yet today but ive only been up for 35 minutes.....
