my hub is in a band, most of the members are going to be moving to TX, dallas area, and their band is pretty good, very original music. they just recently decided this, because the drummer is has an invester to help him open up his own tattoo shop, and my hub has a set up at another job to make 2x as much as we make now. so its my hub and the guitarist who are deciding on if they are going to move there too.... and the guitarist will if we do, and the band will break up if we dont. personally, i dont really know much about texas, we have alot of attatchments here, my hub has a daughter, that stays with the mama, i have close friends here. however, ive been thinking about school alot, and getting certified to become a sign language interpreter, and they have great schools there, and they dont here. me and my hub talked about it for a little bit so far, problem is, were both cancers, very indecisive about everything, always wanting the other person to make the decision, from food to what we want to do, etc. whats even in texas???

I say "do it"..don't break up the band, you could go to school in Dallas...it is big..I have heard alot of cool things about Austin to.. but his daughter is a major concern, he cant leave her and your friends..that would suck, but you could email and call..you could pretty easily make new friends there..you do have a conundrum.
yeah, and theres been so much band drama, that they let go of one guitarist and the keyboard player/back up singer because they both had alot of issues, theyre a couple that got pregnant, and not sure if they want to be together,.. things are finally working out for us financially, and we have a stable life for once. however, if i could finally finish my schooling, it would be wonderful, and that would be alot more money we would be making, and ive wanted to leave this town, too. but hub says sometimes, "i dont even want to be in the band". when theyre having band drama. i dont know which we should do, stay or go, is this our way out? or is this a way to get into a terrible situation and start back over here again?
is the band currently having drama? if things are pretty tight with the band right now, sounds like the opportunity of a lifetime. if you've wanted to leave the town you're in, this might be the best chance you ever get, and do you wanna look back 20 years from now and wish you had moved when you had the chance? sounds like things are financially set for you guys to move, which is GREAT. we just moved cross country with not a penny to our name, and it SUCKED. no promise of jobs, nothing.. just moved, lol! if you don't like it, you can always move back.
true..... it can go both ways, i just really dont know how stable the band is. i would be moving with friends, so it wouldnt be too bad.. living costs are rediculious there though, you can get a 2 1/2 bedroom with a laundry room for just 425 here.
Dooo it! You have an opportunity, take it. You can always return back to where you are if it does not work out. I have several friends in the dallas area and they all have good things to say about it.
