everyone i've talked to said they didnt like it but i saw it a few days ago and it was the funniest movie i've ever seen. definitely my favorite movie of all time now.
Wow, me too... I was told that it wasn't funny, just weird. Then, I watched it and almost peed myself at least five times... Especially with the marmot.
Oh my god that movie is hilarious. I showed it to a couple of my friends though and they thought it was horrible so I guess its one of those things where you either love it or despise it.
''Lady, I got buddies who died face-down in the muck so you and I could enjoy this family restaurant!!!''
i've never showed it to anyone who didnt like it, my halloween outfit is the dude in the opening scene (grocery store) with sandals bathrope and plaid shorts. And the soundtrack is KILLER, who knew kenny rodgers, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan. BTW check out Townes Van Zandt if your not familar.. a few good tunes on Utube but i suggest purchasing him. and fucking Sam Elliot is in it he is one bad mofo!!! " I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that. It's good knowing he's out there, the Dude, taking 'er easy for all of us sinners"
''Woke up this morning with the sun down; shining iiinnn; found my mind in a brown paper bag.. within. I tripped on a cloud and fell 8 miles high, I tore my mind on a jagged sky, I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition is in..''
I finally got around to seeing it last summer (right before a Lebowskifest theme party; no way I was walking in there without knowing the movie). Great stuff. I'd have seen it earlier if I'd realized it was a Coen brothers flick. They're amazing. The LoveIt/HateIt thing goes with them I guess. And White Russians have been my favorite drink ever since.
I will happily say it's one of my favourite films, and the Coens are my favourite directors quite easily. 'That rug really tied the room together'
Funny I think it is one of the only movies that you can take lines out of contest that willfit in almost any situation you are in. I think The Big Lebowski and Pulp Fiction are the two movies I get the most of my stock lines from.
