Lol. It's like Womad, but with, y'know, crapper music. and highschool kids... lots and lots of highschool kids.

 

Yeah I ended up going to Homebake instead of getting BDO tickets...Homebake was great...the BDO lineup is quite shit this year...very very dissapointing...

I'm only going because i get in for free.... and the Beastie Boys. The rest is shit.

 

im going...and i want to see concord dawn and chemical brothers and a few other things....i think it will be heaps of fun...last yr was awesome....so i expect it will be good anyways..

on another note...woodford was really cool

 

The line up is not as pleasing as last year, i'm still going though. The atmosphere is awesome and i was sick at homebake so i didnt get to bask in the lovely atmosphere i spentmost of my time trying not to pass out! Damn the combonation of the come down and head cold!
John butler trio and powderfinger oohhh and Grinspoon! YAY GRINSPOON! they should be fantastic!

 

I'm looking forward to BDO this year for sure. Prob because it's my first one in a few years and just about everyone I know here is going. I left school years ago so we are not all teeny boppers!
I've been to sydney & gold coast BDO's but this year will be my first BDO in melbourne. polyphonic spree should be good to see, JBT of course and I really want to see The Music. But I agree, for what the ticket costs us, its a shit line up. Didnt smashing pumkins,bjork and soungarden all play one year? ?what happened to those good old days? Im sick of powderfinger, there is only so manying times you can see them headline BDO before you get bored. You dig?

 

i agree about powder finger i am just sick of them in general.....
i wanna see polyphonic spree too but think there might be a timetable clash

 

I got my ticket to the big day out early thinking theyd announce some better acts later on but unfortunatley they didnt. Oh well i hope i have fun. Yeah powderfinger are so boring i hate at homebake and stuff when they have powderfinger,alex loyd,something for kate all on the same day. Its a big boring yawn athon.

 

Well am long out of highschool, and I had an absolute ball at the BDO this year! Maybe that makes me immature? Who cares, I had fun!

JBT, The Streets, Carl Cox, Chemical Brothers where all friggin awesome!

Although I did think that the Beastie Boys werre a bit ordinary. If you ask me its that stage, you can't put that kind of act on such an open stage the sounds just doesn't carry well - same thing happened to Back Eyed Peas last year.

Anyway, I had a completely drug free day and I still had fun and thought the music was great!

 

i cant wait untill sunday and seeing the beasties..

 

i am having big day out withdrawal symptoms.... deep breathing doesn't help i tell ya!

 

The big day out was heaps of fun. even though the line up wasnt the best, the bands were still great so was the atmosphere. yeah im still recovering too hehe.
