Best way to grind if you don't have a grinder?

Well??? CAN IT BE DONE???

 

Scissors?
a sifter?
a cheese grater?

Start chewing?

 

My rabbit's nail clippers seem to have done the trick...

 

Theres nothing wrong with a little bit of bump and grind..

I couldn't agree more. Even the ones with "kif" catchers are just reducing the potency of the bud you just ground up because a portion of the THC is falling through the screen, and more so when it's in your pocket and flailing around.

 

You're going to lose THC any way you do it, it seems to me like you would lose more using fingers, but I don't have anything to back that up with. You can pick up a nice grinder for 2 or 3 clams at my local smoke shop, and a REALLY nice grinder for 10, so I don't really think it's too much of a scam.

 

^^ That usually does the trick. If they get dry after, use some lotion. it's really not that hard to break it up with your hands.

 

Yeah, and if you're breaking it up with your fingers the kief just ends up being wasted on the table/magazine/etc you're using to break it up. At least with the grinder I can pack a kief bowl once a week. If you care a lot about the kief just stick the nug into the bowl whole, I do that with the really good weed I get.

A friend of mine swears by cutting it up with a razor, like you're cutting up lines of cocaine. It gets it nice and fine. If you're looking to grind up some weed really finely for a joint or blunt and you don't have a grinder a razor works fine.

You could always use a shotglass and some scissors. That usually works for me.

i usually use my hands, your fingers will absorb some of the THC as well.

yeah with hands you can usually get a pretty good buzz by really breaking it up well.

i was devastated when my grinder got taken away. hands are fine, but i loved my grinder. made everything easier.

Or buy the grinder. :tongue: I love mine, it's pretty and shiny and it has shamrocks on it.

 

hands work, but I guess you'd know that by now. paperPlanes suggested wrapping the herb in a sheet of paper and sort of crushing the paper. I haven't tried it, but sounds like it could work really well.
