There is a street named High Street by my school. The sign has been stolen so many times that they put it way up on this telephone pole, but thats not gonna stop me from getting it by the end of senior year.
It is in Los Angeles, CA. There is a park on that street called the "Stoner Recreation Center". I'm sure at least a few signs have been stolen. Not as bad as "Blue Jay Way" though, (the street the Beatles song was named after). The last time I was there, every sign along the whole lenght of the street had been stolen.
there's a high street in my town as well. there's a 711 right on the corner of high street and some other street. back in the day some friends and i would sometimes drive down there to buy donuts.
There's a place by the Wisconsin/Illinois border on 95 called Bong Recreation Center or something like that. Me and my friends would be all over stealing that sign but it is right next to the highway.

tons of cities have a high street. high street is one of the main streets in the downtown area, the arts area, and the campus area of my city, not to mention it runs as a major street through a number of other areas in town. lots of cool headshops on or JUST off of high street on campus here. and i believe theres some place called "spirits on high" which, if im not mistaken, is a bar or wine/liquor store or something.....never been there, but i know the name. but yeah, there are tons of high streets in the english-speaking world.... how about the WORST street name? in the suburb in which i live, we have a minor road called Whitehead street
lousy book if you ask me, but then i dont like steinbeck very much....i mean his books are all classics, and there are some good literary figures in them, but i found his writing to be dull and unenjoyable in general. i shouldnt say that it's lousy, just not my cup of tea
There is High street, grove street goes through high street, green street touches high and grove, and then we got Maple street touching high a "japanese Maple leaf" I explained all that to my mom today when we had another talk about pot in the car and we drove by haha.
