First off merry christmas everyone. I need you all's opinion on something. I use to use opiates on a daily basis so my body acclimated itself to them. Im not sure exactly how it works but its my understanding that when you take opiates it causes a histamine release, which in turn causes the itching. Now, back when i was using everyday i hardy had any itch at all. These days i only take opiates as an occasional treat, but when i do take em i get overwhelmingly itchy and its really annoying, total buzzkill. anyway ive been using diphenhydramine to help with the itch, but to get the desired effect i usually have to take enough so that it becomes quiet sedating. Anyhoo the only other OTC antihistamines i can think of are Claritin and Zyrtec. So tell me, which OTC antihistamine would you suggest using in conjunction with opiates.(again goal is to eliminate itch not to just get more fucked up) Thank you for your feedback and happy holidays:2thumbsup: -Blitz

Hydroxyzine is occasionally found OTC. Also, doxylamine is very powerful. It is the active ingredient in Nyquil.
Hydroxyzine was to be OTC in a little while, or it has been already... "Vistaril" should be the name of it..
I have a psychological thing that sometimes even if im really high if i dont get that itch everywhere...i feel the need to do more
screw benadryl, vistoril is ok but also makes you drowsy. Loratadine is the best OTC antihistamine that wont make you drowsy, but can be difficult to find. id reccomend getting a back scratcher or your girl to do it
