I love ben harpers and jack johnsons High tide or low tide.... originally by bob marley whats your favorite cover song?
Satyricon - I.N.R.I. (originally by Sarcofago), maybe the fastest song ever recorded. Blasting at 251 bpm, whoa. My Dying Bride - Roads (originally by Portishead). Darker, sadder, better than the original.
man i hated korns cover of another brick in the wall. NIN did a badass cover of Dead Souls by Joy Division then again everything NIN does is just amazing.
korn was great on another brick in the wall. that was a good cover. they showed it could be a metal song, too.
To me, these are the cover tunes that I really enjoy: Phish or The Dead: "Quinn The Eskimo" Phish: "Roses Are Free" Mule: "One" and "Spanish Moon" & "Don't Step On The Grass, Sam" Trey: Abbey Road Medley and "It Makes No Difference" there are a LOT more that I love!!!
isnt weens roses are free a cover of phish?! and the intro to korns another brick in the wall i must say is pretty cool, other then that it sounds exactly the same but with jonathans voice and a very heavy distortion
the best all time cover (at least the most famous) has to be hendrix covering all along the watchtower... hell most ppl dont even kno that dylan wrote it
Noel Gallagher's cover of "Help!" my cover of Oasis' "Fade Away" George Harrison's "If Not For You" (I'm pretty sure Bob Dylan wrote it) those are my favourites atm.
The white stripes have some great renditions of old blues tunes - Death Letter, Stop Breakin' Down, and more. They even cover dolly parton's Jolene, and it is amazing.
-Jeff Buckley covering Hallellujah (Cohen) -Tori Amos covering Love Song (The Cure) and Real men (Joe Jackson) -Jimi Hendrix covering All along the watchtower (Dylan) -Heather Nova covering I'm on fire (Springsteen)
