k so i think i came up with the ultimate idea for a grow box, just not sure about some things.
im planning on turning a desk (2 sides have droors, aprox 3 ft tall 1ft wide 2-3ft deep each)
i wana make one side vege and one side blooming, im thinking 4 plants should b enough im just not to sure about the ventilation or lighting... (how big of a fan, what type of lighting and such) im trying to keep costs relatively low.. so i can eventualy invest more money if it does work. :)

Sounds a little small. If my box was fairly air tight I'l put holes in each end and put an extraction fan in the deviding wall. As for lights its really to small and would be dangerous to use any high wattage hid's lighting just in case your fan stops. You maybe able to get aways with one low wattage hids in the bloom or grow side but would say cfl flourescents or led. Light for vegging are rated at 4000k-6700k blue spectrum and blooming lights are rated at 2000k-2400k red spectrum. Some people like use mixed spectrum for blooming and vegging but as a rule use more of the correct colour light vegging or bloom then the other.

i figured it would retrict my lighting but im pretty sure if this box fails my dresser will be my next project :). the only reaon i wana stick with this one, if i use low stress and it works, ima have a nice cycle goin on... i was thinking LED but i just might have to go with CFLs..

Lol extreme low stress training did 4x2x4high bushes last yr ended up hanging cups with coins in from branches.
Never used led's but would say not for beginners as the start up cost will take a few grows to get back. Good luck with grow.

if the start up was 12/12 they would remain small and might fit in this area..
my 12/12 born and raised though are pushing 3' now. They are not as thick as mature plants forced into flower though..
